Tony Romo should be our OC

well the end of the game we should have went to 2 min warning. We had Bens run, the i would have ran on first and second if we didn't score we still have 2 passes to try. The last play was crap all around. There was no "out" of the primary was covered. looking at the replay it appears ben could have snuck to the left and maybe scored

Exactly. We hung 550 yards of offense on them, and had damn near 30 first downs, to go with 25 first downs. Christ, we had, what, 3-4 drives that were 10+ plays? There is zero ******* reason this game wasn’t a blow out. Zero ******* reason. This was a perfect example of the whole “players play” thing. There were sooo many plays in which players were wide the **** open, for the players to not capitalize. I had zero doubt in my mind that we weren’t gonna score the tying points as soon as we got that ball back. Zero doubt. The offense did whatever they wanted. The Grimble play was BEYOND infuriating, especially considering that he probably only had to side-step that defender in order to score. Don’t care how “soft” it may have made him, I want ******* touchdowns.

I wonder if the season is starting to take a toll on him, both physically, and mentally. I swear we took a TO in the first half because Ben noticed Conner walking around pretty gingerly. It’s the most abuse he’s taken in three years. That said, if you wanna be the man, you need to be better than that. Who the **** cares about Bell? Not me. But I do know that he doesn’t fumble that ball.

You really believe Ben overthrew Washington? You referring to the throw that if he keeps running hits him in stride but instead he attempts to “dive” for it and drops it instead.

I just disagree that it was a good offensive game plan. IMO two weeks in a row we abandoned the run early. I don't think that works. Example - When you run a shotgun on first and goal with two yards to score, that does not compute for me. You are giving the defense 3 yards before the offense touches the ball, and telling them you can't beat them at the line.

I agree. Weren't the Broncos one of the worst defenses against the run? Why throw it so many times when you could just wear that defense down and pound the rock? Reminds me of a few years ago when they went to Buffalo in a snowstorm and threw it a ton. You need to manage the game not blow every one out. Just move the ball and score. Denver wasn't going to score a ton so you shorten the game and wear them down.

I think Romo could be an asset as a much-needed clock manager. He seems to have the right feel for in-game time management, whereas the Steelers usually don't.

I've seen the replays and breakdowns and GIFs, and I'm not convinced that that would be an in-stride TD. His arms would have to be fully extended with no elbow give. I understand why he dove, but either way, he should have made the catch. We had a couple missed wide open throws that would have been 30+ plays and TDs. ABs throw would have been a TD. The game was called correctly.

I didn't have a big problem with the RPO either to end the game. It looked like it was supposed to be a run the whole way. AB wasn't expecting the ball. Ben has to throw that into the stands, or try and run again like he did last week.

I was hoping Burnett and Edmunds would be better at this point in the season. They are not.

The only possible upgrade on defense is Matt Thomas. Let him rush and cover. We need his speed too.

The Tomlin man who takes risks won’t try it out even though known flaws remain at ILB. WTF.

Yet he stubbornly sticks with Washington who sucks and can’t catch a cold.

Go figure.

PS Gilbert and Tuitt need to get healthy.
