When they showed Tomlin with that look of despair I knew we had been outcoached at half time. I guess Tomlin must sit around and tell jokes at half time because he sure had that I don't know what to do, tell sign, as Bill-I-Cheat changed up the defense in the third period. Bell once again played with a lot of desire and Jones stood in there when you consider all he was up against with injuries and all.

He doesn't live in his fears, but if that's not panic and/or desperation when he threw the challenge flag I don't know what is. That was beyond dumb, and I'm not a Tomlin hater but truth is truth.

54 yd FG attempt.

nuff sed

Was it really all that bad of a call though when you consider that Boswell had the leg on the kick? Kicking it into the Ohio River wasn't the part of the plan however.

Was it short I didn't see it thought it was just wide had my eyes closed praying

I think that was a "stall the offense" momentum as they were moving the ball pretty well. Give the defense a chance to refocus/regroup. Pretty standard by coaching tactics.

And who the **** knows with these catch rules. I thought he should of kept it in his pocket but I can understand it

Someone upstairs had to tell him yes or no as to challenge that.

Marcia was driving down the field. Throwing that offense out of gear to regroup the defense is something we see all the time. Throwing the challenge was a pretty shrewd move, it delayed the game another 5 minutes, when a TO would have been a 30 second one. And you are absolutely right, one of the commentators were suggesting maintaining control.? WTH, Gronk was running after the catch. Even the broadcasters don't know.

Tomlin has always sucked at clock management and challenge usage. He also seems to lack the ability to make halftime adjustments. Sitting by and not getting in the refs ears as our team was ready to go in the hurry up and fifteen seconds melt off the clock (as refs can't spot the ball ready to play) earlier in the game...better coaches would've went ballistic. Not using the last timeout to save the entire play clock the Pats drained pre punt late in the 4th, wth. If you punt them the ball you have to be ready to make that move. I'm not even a Tomlin hater, but he is very flawed when it comes to these types of scenarios.

"catches" like that are called incomplete all the time...against a different team he possibly gets the reversal

They did come out of the locker room for the second half and force a punt from the patsies....shows they figured something out.....

but I would not have tried that 54 yarder

I was fine with the challenge because I think Ike is correct. The 54 yard field goal was absolutely idiotic. The end.

I was not fine with it. It was ruled a catch. The replay showed it was a catch. It's not getting over ruled

The field goal was dumb. Boswell was having a rare bad day. And we needed touchdowns to come close.

It's not like we ask ask the defense to force a punt. Tomlin without Ben is exposed again.

Next time on 4th and 2, when down 11 points give the ball to Bell. DUH

That's just what they're expecting you to do!

I agree that some of the calls were not good. I hated the absurd field goal and one of the punts. However, we were in a game we had no reason to be competive for 3 quarters. Many of the folks wailing now assumed we would be blown out. So, someone must have had the team ready to play

not sure how you don't call that one pass interference

it was that obvious

At the end of the day it wasn't Landry that failed us......it was Tomlin. That's a shame.

yeah, Tomlin consistently threw the ball either behind the WR or to a spot were no WR was close.....Tomlin threw the ball inside to Brown in the endzone instead of to the back corner....damn Tomlin
