Tomlin's interview

and Ill gladly stand up next to you and defend her still todayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Also Tomlin lied when he said his decision but as came out it was players decisions. Steelers were chumps before during and after game. Was a sad day in Mudville yesterday. A lot of emotion and not much good towards the Steelers, Tomlin interview summed p the day, bad. Only bright spot was one player , Villanueva, who had the brass ones to defy the players and Tomlin.

whatever --blame everyone or blame no one -- They DID NOT disrespect the flag because the did not come out to listen to the National Anthem -- get a grip...

DISRESPECT is sitting or Kneeling, not removing your hat ---

By your standards I guess if you get up and go to the bathroom or get a beer when the anthem is playing then you are disrespectful to .. Which MANY people do at the stadium and in their homes -- wonder if all the people working at the concession stands or standing in line to get their beer are also DISRESPECTING the flag

Not to be a ***** here but I work concessions at my daughters school and everything, and I mean everything, stops when the anthem is playing. We've had opponents fan's look at us like WTF? We ignore them and continue to honor our flag, facing it with hand over heart even if there is wall in between us. That is how we feel around here. There are plenty who choose not to stand, remove head gear, etc. That's their problem.

Better move this one to politics also. .

Actually, the NFL has now made it clear that there is no difference in the two subjects. They could have stopped all this stupidity last year but now the political and social engineering aspects of society are entrenched into professional football and like most things political, once introduced, they seldom go away.

So why DID the steelers stay in the tunnel?

This whole thing could have been easily avoided and shut down from the beginning. Tomlin should have come forward yesterday and said that they will be on the field and stand in unison. NOT BECAUSE TRUMP SAID WE HAVE TO....but because we choose to. We as a team support
the eradication of racial injustices in this country but we make the conscious decision to NOT to dishonor the anthem to get our point across. He also could have made it a point that he disagreed vehemently with Trump's tweet.

But instead they handled this terribly especially with the optics of AV being out there alone. (And I'm not buying the whole chaos separated all of them line either). Ironically, it was only AV that got separated.....c'mon....Then Tomlin doubled down and subtly called AV out in the post-game presser. I don't want to hear from Ben and Cam on this. Rooney needs to come out and make a statement. They made themselves look abysmal yesterday and Art III needs to set it right.

Because they're a bunch of cowards. Because they couldn't muster the stones to stand beside an Army Ranger and Bronze Star recipient when it wasn't popular to do so. I find it fitting that they stood in the shadows along with their unconvicted beliefs free from ridicule while one lone man stood in the light, chin up, hand over his heart willing to accept the actions of showing his conviction, his love, and his respect for this great nation. **** the NFL, **** 52 of the Steeler players, and **** any of you who try to see this for anything than what it is; complete disrespect and contempt for this great nation. Ben even said his actions were a mistake and that they would be on the field this next weekend. Even he sees what a coward he was. Thank God there are men like #78 to set an example for others to follow. Rangers lead the way!

Yeah his tweets are racist, show ONE just one .

To be clear, I never said racist. I said divisive.

What he is doing is immature, unpresidential, and reckless.

Regardless it has no place in the NFL or in this forum. To be clear, politics.

Yeah its not like he brought the POS BLM thugs to the White House or encouraged civil disobedeience against the police like the race baiting POS Obama did eh libtard ?

No he decided to go the other way and make the White House white again. Also if saying you should punch them in the face and I'll pay the fine, isn't encouraging civil disobedience, you have your head up your own ***...

Punching in the face and killing cops the same thing junior ? Obama is a POS as a man and as a president, a race baiting ****. I love rump for saying we should fire the POS players who on COMPANY TIME choose to express their political views. These players are dumb as **** and almost all of them will be broke years after they leave the league. Instead of stupid protests they should look at their lives and try and better themselves instead of talking in empty platitudes about issues that don't affect the vast majority of Americans. Wish these ******** had lived in America in the 60s or before when there was rampant and violent racism. None of them have the class, dignity and intelligence of Martin Luther King and thses thugs aren't family men or men of moral character.

It's just dis-ingenuous the single out Trump as divisive. What Prez is not divisive? It's just the nature of the office. Half the country typically dislikes the Prez, at least since 60s.

Yep. I thought Obama said and did things that were extremely divisive. The difference is that the media covered and supported Obama, whereas they attack and lie about Trump every chance they get.

That is a good point. Though his reckless use of twitter has now led to a country declaring war on us. That is dangerous for all americans.

JGP, Obama never tweeted to kill a cop or start a fight, Trump actually encouraged people to throw punches. Also linking Obama to BLM is akin to linking Trump to White Supremacy. Both are equally wrong associations.

I don't care about a players politics. I care about that steaming turd of a game we played. I just don't get it. I don't care if he likes bush, clinton, or putin, if he catches the ball, makes his blocks, makes his tackles, etc, he's fine by me. I draw the line at illegal behavior, but that's mainly due to the fact that illegal behavior leads to much other bad **** that's just bad for a team. I'm not looking for choir boys, I'm looking for football players. Period. If Stabby Ray Ray can play football for all those years, these pricks can kneel if they want.

Joe

Standing for the Anthem is not about politics. Never has been. Its what leftists and their fake cause have turned it into.

Steeler fans sleep eat and breathe Steeler football. The images on TV of Steeler fans burning their jerseys and towels demonstrates that yes, there are things in life far greater than football.
