Nobody at the position was standing out in a good way. Both James and Grimble were following the "Catch one, drop one" sequence the entire pre season. That's not going to cut it. When you factor in that neither one of them is an explosive athlete, it's definitely not going to cut it. They needed to upgrade.

I only hope McDonald can get it together in new surroundings. With injuries and the iffy catches, I'm not sure what he'll bring but after watching the Colt game last night, aside from Grimble, he has to be an upgrade.

So to recap, we basically swapped out Humpty Dumpty and his cracked skull (sorry Green) for a shiny new toy for Ben wearing the same number without the concussion issues. Biggest thing for this kid is getting him and Ben on the same page. He's a pro so he will be all up in the playbook but he's gotta get the reps in practice.
