Tomlin supporters....

You honestly don't think he had it in the bag going in? The brains behind the Rooney Rule, meant to get more minorities into head coaching jobs, were in no way going to not hire a minority.
Whether he was or not is irrelevant as he is a super bowl winning coach who has taken us to another and has damn close multiple times. I really can't ask for more and not be a whiny ******* spoiled brat Patriots fan.

When you have the best RB and WR in the league along with a top 3 QB and you can’t beat a team like Jacksonville... sorry, I have to look at coaching. Tomlin couldn’t scheme something up to hold them to under 25pts? I wonder what Belichick would do with this roster?

We came out flat and got down 21-0, that is ALL coaching

Maybe in high school. They are professional athletes. If they can't get up for a damn playoff game without a rah rah pep talk from a coach then that's their fault.

I will agree with this. Haley and Tomlin are the Rooney’s fault. Got to cut the head off of the snake. I wish the Rooney’s would sell the team to the fans then let each share equal 1 vote so the fans could dump a Tomlin or Haley as long as majority rules.

I think you need to go root for a team like the Pats. Seem more your type.

He's 8-7 in the Post Season and 5-6 since winning a decade ago while having a HOF QB. Sorry. Not good enough.

Its never coaching? sorry being flat and having a piss poor game plan is all on coaching. The team takes on the personna of its head coach and this has been obvious for years. We beat no one of note this year at full strength and of course got ***** slapped by a tougher , better coached team in the Jags twice.

What time are the fireworks Tomlin promised for the second New England game?

And he has won consistently. Can you honestly say he was bad hire. If so your out of your mind. I won’t quote stats but seriously for all his faults he is a good coach. Yes he ***** up. He should have kicked it. But I would still take his tenure all over again. Warts and all.

Hey, if you’re happy with regular season wins and crapping the toilet against bad teams, then go right ahead and be happy. I’m not. Not with the talent we have. We have “blow the crap out of teams” talent, yet constantly come up short. That’s coaching. I’m guessing you never lived through the 80’s or late nineties. Get ready, it’s coming back soon.

I am really trying to find silver linings.. .in other words, does this team have a better shot if Shaz' stays healthy? Yes. Does this team need to draft for depth? Yes. Too often they are shallow in areas because it's not a perceived "need." That being said... playoff football comes down to the details, and this team is too talent reliant. College football, you win w/talent, NFL, you win because of situational understanding and professionalism. I got berated because of the locker room culture comment, but clearly, that comes into play in the NFL. No other team has the talent all around than the Steelers.. yet, explain. IMO.. talent was on display today. L

Guessed wrong, I have lived through every Super Bowl win or loss although admittedly I don't remember the first 2. ANd yes honestly I am happy (not at this exact moment) about cheering for this team under Tomlin. Live near Cincinnati and see the other side of the spectrum will change your perspective on how good we have it with Tomlin and Cowher before that. I see how much it hurts to NEVER win a playoff game or from the other side hardly win any games up north and realize we are hated as fans because we don't see how good we have had it and sound like spoiled entitled little ******* sometimes. I hated some of the calls today certainly it might have made a difference if we had kicked off or not fumbled or not thrown an interception or not pitched it wide or made a god damn tackle once in awhile but we were still in the ******* game at the end. I would not trade it for 7 straight tarnished Lombardi's like the Pats.

I don’t know how this defense gets fixed. Bud Dupree and Mitchell need to get thrown out. Bud is as bad as Jarvis imo.

I hated Jarvis but he was good against the run, Bud is horrible against the run . I take Jarvis over him sad to say.

Bud Dupree is super slow. Mitchell has no awareness so i would start with those 2. I am not even that upset because i could see this coming. Everyone was talking or thinking about the pats while totally dismissing what Jax did to us in the first game or even in the last 5 games
I did not expect such a high scoring game, and i thought the steelers would pull out a close one, but i am definitely not shocked we lost. As for changes i would gut the coaching staff. Haley has to go, Butlers D fell apart the second half, and i have never been a tomlin fan. Realistically i don't see tomlin going, but Haley and butler should be on the chopping block.

This game was lost when Bos kicked short to start the game.

Butler and Haley need to be offered HC positions somewhere.

Time for the mock drafts.

Its always easy to want to change coaching.....I can understand frustration....im pissed as anyone. But at some point common sense has to come into play.

Those wanting to fire Tomlin: name a viable replacement....

If you don't hit on the first selection, when do you make the next change ? Do you wait, 3 years, 4, or 5 ? The subsequent selection, if you miss again you find yourself in a worse situation than if you stayed with a coach that wins over two-thirds of his games. How often are you gonna hit on a coach of the caliber of Tomlin that trails only the likes of Shula, Halas, Paul Brown, Belichek and George Allen in overall win pct ? <<<< Those men are ****** legends according to the football gods.

Im pissed like the rest....but lets not be so goddamn over-reactionary here.

Five playoff wins in a decade. Let that sink in. Then, as others have pointed out, 2 of those were against backup QBs and another was a gift from Burfict.

It's time to cut him loose.

They are really racist..yes i didnt like the decision to onside kick the ball..but we lost this game for a variety of reasons.. some from the sidelines and some on the field..
Stop with this white black ****. Just stop.

This team needs more speed like Shazier provided.....gawd we ****** missed him in more ways than imagineable. We constantly got gouged by crossing patterns and matchups vs TEs and swing passes to the backs. Shazier always seemed to be able to read and react or close and make tackles....that big third down in the third that Fort missed ...Shazier makes that play and they kick to us.

We also need to part with Mitchell...its time. Hes out of position too often. Gay I think suited up his last game. So we need to bring in some depth. But Linebacker (Inside) is definitely a major need.

Yeah he is the reason this team is winning so many games, he has top talent and it is his great coaching acumen that carries, Ben, Bell, Brown, etc.

Today most of the scores were on incredible athletic plays in desperation mode not on coaching .

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. 11 years in we are extremely talented, poorly coached, soft, undisciplined , arrogant, immature and play down to the competition. That is all on Tomlin.

What does he do well other than get out of the way and let us squeek by mediocre teams in the division or lose to the better teams with stunning regularity ?

If your goal is to win regular season games, then he's your man.
