It really depends on the actual terms of Tomlin's contract, and anything that was negotiated on his exit. It's entirely possible the Steelers may have waived or allowed a sunset clause on the ownership of his rights, or they could have made an agreement on what compensation they would accept if he does return to coaching.Agreed.
