Starts by addressing "video"

1. Language used was regrettable
2. Won't impact the Steeler's preparation for the game. Has no worries about whether it inspires Cheats***. Weren't going to "sneak in the door" in regards to winning in NE anyway.
3. AB ... Foolish, selfish and inconsiderate of him. Violation of Steelers policy, lockerroom and NFL policy. He will be punished, but not in a way that hurts the team. Expect he will also be punished by the league for the violation of league policy.

Other than that, hasn't spent a lot of time worrying about the video. Hasn't met with AB about it because on Monday and Tuesday "I prepare for games. Period." Sure he'll see AB soon and will address it then.

Notice he did not apologize for actually CALLING Cheats*** ******** ... only that the regrettable language was broadcast in violation of team and league policies. Good onya Mike!

Harrison will be limited this week. (didn't catch the injury)
Chick still dealing with ankle
Green still in protocol
Vince and Davis still managing shoulder injuries
Toussaint still in protocol

In regards to NE.
Brady a great player, but they are a great team. Fundamentally sound defense. Great job of applying pressure with multiple people coming after you.

Failed to score in KC because of multiple things. Lack of execution and taking advantage of opportunities by Steelers and quality play KC.
Not anticipating the same in NE because he doesn't prepare for failure.

Reporter tried to ask him a question about the AB video and potential punishment. CMT shut him down "Like I said, those things will be handled privately, internally ... and I meant it. Period."

"I'm not expanding on anything I said earlier (AB situation). I tried to give you a precise and quick rundown on the issues as we see them .... and that's enough"

NE w/out Gronk "They're doing what NE does. ... There's an adjustment without Gronk, but you're see adjustments with different WR packages" etc.
Dion Lewis is a talent and he's not surprised about what he's doing for NE

Gotta say, I've never seen Tomlin as "animated" during a presser as he seems today. I think he's "HYPED" for this game and ready to get at it. (at least I hope that's what it means .. lol)

Not worried about mental/physical fatigue "We can sleep the last 3 weeks of February (smiling)"

Could waste a lot of man hours pondering the possibilities of how NE might "manipulate" the rule book. Not going to do it as a HC. He's going to look at what they have on film and prepare for that rather than "possibilities"

Shazier playing with consistency, urgency and speed and growing in the system. Reasonable to expect continued growth.

Don't care about what this game means so far as his "resume for greatness" as a coach. Not on his agenda right now. (as it shouldn't be. Preparing for this game should)

Lot of questions from the media about the Super Bowl .. (jumping the gun if you ask me).

Ben doesn't have to be great to win this game. WE have to be great. We have to score one more point than them.

Reporter won't give up on the AB angle... asks if there's any portion of ABs punishment that will be reflected on the field. "NO" (and a stare like "you're a ******* idiot")

Professional respect for the Pats** and competitive animosity. "They haven't had to go through us to get there either. Since I've been here .. So stay tuned."

"I've said all that I've had to say about the video. You guys can have that. Lot of air time to fill this week; not a lot of games. Have fun."

Will repeat, he's laser focused. I hope that trickles down to all who dress out Sunday. We need to go get this thing.

Two weeks in a row He handled the press conferences beautifully left no room wiggle room for things to become a distraction.

Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Steeler Nation mobile app

Harrison is a shoulder and Tricep thing...or it could be the fact he is 105 and just needs to rest

Never once apologized to NE or Belicheat for what he had to say about them. Only apologized for the language getting out there and how kids and the community might view it.
Addressed AB's violation of the locker room sanctity very well.
Sidestepped the question regarding potential manipulation of the rules by Belicheat very well (no big story will be generated by his 'vanilla' response).
Kept shutting down questions about the video after addressing it first.
Overall, a good presser. He seemed ready to get at it.

and I loved the response about getting mentally and physically tired at this time of year "We can sleep the last 3 weeks of February".

Yep. We need to find another OLB even if Deebo comes back next year.

Oh yeah, I forgot the "threat" to AB

Tomlin said: "Some star players move from team to team. We hope that Antonio doesn't have to do that."

Message .... Delivered.

Did anyone ask him if the staff was familiar with the term "play action"?

Tomlin said "with regards to forum and social media play coordinators, my measuring cup utilizes the ingredients that success eats from. We wont supplement our recipes with foreign elements now when the meal has been served and the results already recorded."
