Tomlin knows Steelernation is pissed off and likes it.

Ok I must've missed the flow of the game ****. I'm going to take a wild guess though and say it had to have been Vick. Stupid, dumbass decision imho.

I didnt watch a single Steelers game when that prick was on the team.

No, that was last year when Ben got banged up and they put Josh Dobbs in for a few series.

I think for the first time in his career, Tomlin has a locker room that is about the team. It is the tightest group he's had of his players and it unfortunately is coming near the end of Roethlisberger's career. Luckily, we still should have another 2-3 years with a franchise QB and hopefully an offense focused more on balance rather than airing it out too much as they did last year.

They had to throw a lot last season, in order to win.

Well he is the reason we are pissed so...

Loft of elegant words but lets see game one. He should have been pissed way before now.

I got the fanboys' panties in a twist over this on one of the Steeler groups on FB. They don't like that I don't think Shades is a freaking awesome head coach and shouldn't get another contract.

Not to worry, he'll unleash hell if he has to.

Coach Tomlin has many haters as well as admirers. Doesn't matter - just win this year!!!

The roster has been full before. Boswell should not be an excuse. It was the one finger Art Rooney II pointed. Yet Tomlin kept him and didn't bring in much to unseat him.

Who did you 'blame' when Mendenhall fumbled in SB45??? That fumble is why we lost the game...

Here's a reminder - https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/2...ashard-mendenhall-fumble-super-bowl-packers/:

Second and 2 from Green Bay’s 33-yard line, Ben Roethlisberger switches protection at the line of scrimmage, sending Miller away from Matthews. The Packers star pass rusher would later say he saw something – maybe it was Miller, the guy who left tire tracks all over him through the first three quarters of play, leaving his sights for the first time on the drive.

David Johnson couldn’t hold ground and got pushed back, blocking pulling Chris Kemoeatu from the left side. That left Matthews free to run in and let Mendenhall bounce the ball off his leg and give Green Bay back possession.

I will still be a Steeler fan, but my passion will decrease. Our only hope is that the players have enough leadership on their own. It's possible. Cam, JuJu, Joe Haden, TJ, DD, Pounce, Ben, Conner....Edmunds?
Bruh...

Tomlin should be angry -- if not ashamed. He drafted defense in the first round for the past 6 years and couldn't make the playoffs in a division featuring Tyrod Taylor, a rookie Mayfield, Jeff Driskel (who wasn't even a good SEC QB), and a Hairball-coached QB who scored 13 on his Wonderlic and ran a Service Academy offense.

Tomlin didn't just get outcoached, he got humiliated and further exposed.

No, that was last year when Ben got banged up and they put Josh Dobbs in for a few series.

And kept Dobbs in the game because he "liked the flow" of the offense with Dobbs under center. Genius Mike liked THIS EFFING FLOW:

Lol. It was coach speak.

Lol. It was coach speak.

It was dumb beyond measure. Ben healthy enough to play. I say that because after the Steelers fell behind, BEN PLAYED AND LED THEM TO A TD.

But Tomlin decided the better alternative was to leave Josh Dobbs in the game long enough to trail, while putting the defense in a bad spot with a series of quick, fruitless possessions, a pick, and a turnover on downs.

For all of the deserved grief the defense got last year, they played pretty well in the 2nd half and did their job in the 3rd quarter. The Raiders best player that quarter was Dobbs.

There was a delay on examining Ben. If I remember correctly a machine was not working properly or not at all which delayed whether Ben could reenter the game or not. Tomlin wouldn't use that as an excuse so he went with the statement that you referred to. Would you put Ben back in the game not knowing if he was healthy enough too go in and chance further injury?

I think the most pathetic element in Cool Shades quote isn't that he just said it, but he doesn't even realize why he should be embarrassed for saying it.

You can try to defend this one Cool Shades decision, but not the other 1,000 bonehead moves he's made. He'd never last if he didn't have a franchise QB to make up for all his rock head decisions.

LOL....trying to defend Tomlin. You are funny. I just get amused when people state **** about Tomlin and it isn't factual. There is enough stuff out there to bash Tomlin without making things up.

That isn't correct. Ben got X-rays taken at half time. He got a shot of pain killer at half time. Tomlin made two statements. One contradicting the other. First he said "He got looked at at halftime. He got treatment, he came back out. We were waiting to see if he was gonna be able to come back in. He was. He probably could've come in a series or so sooner, but we were in the rhythm and flow of the game. He was ready to go when he got back out there."

Then Tuesday after the game the Steelers put out a statement saying "Mike Tomlin said Ben Roethlisberger received “treatment” for his rib injury at halftime. It was a pain-killing shot. The reason he did not enter game vs. Raiders after he came to the sideline? It takes pain-killers some time to kick in & Steelers had to make sure he was OK."

We also know that Ben told Tomlin that he was ready to go early in the 3rd quarter. The doctor's had already cleared him. The X-rays were inconclusive but the examiner said he was good to go. Tomlin was trying to keep him out as long as he could. I understand he didn't want to get him injured further. But then later he contradicts himself. If Tomlin really believed Ben was in danger then why put him in at all? Why not take his helmet and sit him? Because he knew he was ready but wanted to look smart and win the game with a back up QB.

And then Ben was roundly criticized on Monday by the morning idiot DJ's on the Fan for not being a leader and running out on the field in defiance of his coach and talking over HIS team. What a bunch of ******* jarboni's.

Those dooshers would of been the first to call him a racist if he had done as they had suggested.
