Im unsure about Fitchner. I would have liked them to look outside for someone with great credentials in the NFL that could still get along with Ben. Im a little concerned they hired a yes man. Hope Im wrong.
 
Coach speak is an amazing quaility and I didn't see any TOMLIN "lab" so to speak..........maybe he is cleaning it up a bit too???

Ben wasn't going to be thrown a whole new offense at this stage of the game. An OC hire from the outside would have done just that.

A very good point. Never thought of it that way. Hope tgey are workung together to use tge current verbiage and getting rid of some of the useless **** at tye start of the game. Om all for a little sugar route anytime a guy is 7 to 10 off coverage. I friggen hated the bubble screens. F'k they didnt even have a play based off of it.
 
Randy has been part of the offense think tank since before Haley. He also ran a similar spread offense Ben likes at Memphis. So it will be explosive like Haley w/o so many bubble screens and sweeps

Really? I do not. Then Tomlin says

When asked about new wide receivers coach Daryl Drake, Tomlin spoke very highly in stating, “He has been one of the solid positional coaches in our business in that area. His reputation and resume reflect that.” Drake has coached prolific wide receivers such as Larry Fitzgerald and Brandon Marshall while in Arizona and Chicago.

Next, Tomlin spoke on newly appointed defensive line coach Karl Dunbar, who has spent 11 seasons in the NFL coaching with Minnesota, New York Jets, Chicago, and Buffalo. “There are a lot of things to be excited about, not only in terms of what he brings as a coach, but his background makes his inclusion to the group an exciting one.”

Oh now he hits on NFL Experience with the two other coaches. Classic. I guess he loved them all, green with no coaching experience to 11 year veteran coach.

Yeah, I think we will see more Pistol sets with TE movement. Opens the variable with who is getting the ball.

More BS for the agenda.....

His FULL comment about Bradley was the fact that he has no pro experience in coaching DBs, he is more in tune with the young DB players on this time now and its similar to coaching the youths of college.

Don't know who are calling green. Bradley has been coaching over 35 years....the majority at Penn State. Was an assistant Head Coach too. He's coached longer than most of the position coaches in the NFL right now, so spare me the lack of NFL coaching experience jab at Tomlin. The Agenda must be pushed.

Drake has been around a long time as well...35 years. Coached college and pro. I remember him at Georgia when Hines Ward was there. (was his position coach). He's coached some pretty good players in the pros too. Dunbar is a Mitchell disciple and had picked from Coach Mitch as his replacement. All in all very fine replacements with loads of experience. Tomlin is surrounding him with good coaches to get better.

An observation.......I could see Drake becoming OC if Randy doesn't work out.
 
The change from Bruce "9 step drop" Arians to Hayley was great as it has helped Ben stay alive. Hayley's playcalling was much better for the most part BUT it sucked in CRITICAL situations. I think Randy Fichtner will be more "middle of the road" and the offense will improve.
