Would you be willing to pull him out of retirement? Listen for a second. Yes, he’s 71 but if Ben wants to play 3 more years who cares how old Coughlin is our window is small. He has the patriots number and who are our biggest hurdle in the afc? Coughlin does not look past teams and prepares diligently each week and expects the same from his players.

Coughlin's fingerprints were all over the Jags' gameplan yesterday.

All the years he was there the first time around, his teams almost always played the Steelers tough. Some would say he even had the Steelers' number.

Looks like he picked up where he left off.

Over on the Jags' board they're calling him Patriots Kryptonite.

Coughlin is not retired, he is running football operations for the Jaguars. Doubt he's interested in coaching anymore.
On 93.7 today they were saying that Coughlin was in the press box cussing a blue streak at every play, screaming in the headset at the coaches on the sideline, and generally making an embarrassment of himself. F that, they won didn't they?

Sounds like a no nonsense authorative figure.
I'm sure the team --- coaches down to the players listen when he's around.

Something the Steelers desperately need is positive leadership

Well, Coughlin's old-school style wore thin with the Giants and he didn't finish all that well his last year or two as I recall, which is why he moved on.

I still think the younger guys on the Steelers need a positive direction.
They can be playmakers.

The off field drama was annoying this season.

Coughlin already is in the Jags front office! Holy **** you dumbshits have no idea about any other team that isn't the Steelers do you? Hey, maybe give Jon Gruden a call, see if he wants to come be our defensive coordinator!

I'm holding out for Zombie Buddy Ryan.

Hey, what's Tom Landry up to these days? Haven't heard from him in forever

Who the **** doesn’t know? He’s a consultant not a coach. Coach Cowher is an analyst not a coach. Everyone talks about Cowher but I think he likes his gig as he made a conscious decision to retire. Coughlin was let go. Maybe he likes his gig and wants to stay but maybe a cup of coffee to gauge his interest would be in order to see if he would like to coach again.

He isn't a consultant.

Coughlin is the executive vice president of football operations for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Don't worry Coach will post another forty threads this week about bullshit possibilities in his scrawl.

Wasn't his last three seasons 7-9, 6-10, 6-10 with a franchise level QB and two Pro Bowl level WR (ODB Jr and Cruz)

How about Son of Buddy Rexy himself for D.C...
Yeah he's a blowhard, but these loudmouth types seem to love playing for him, and he not doubt would bring and instill aphysicality to the defense.
Plus his teams have a decent track record against the evil empire.

As long as we are talking crazy
