Today’s Game thread,…… bungles at STEELERS

Better QB? I have to disagree. That QB was hungry and the team was hungry for a win. That is what it was.

Ok, I respect your opinion. Kenny is not 100% and, when he is, he has MUCHO GRANDE issues with getting to his second read. And his biggest issue, IMO, are the happy feet. Finally, Kenny's arm strength is not as good - let me rephrase - it's not even close, to Rudy's. I saw Rudy flick his wrist today and still over throw DJ...

Yes, he was hungry but he also did something Kenny hasn't achieved since Ben retired - score more than 30 points in a game and throw 2 TDs w/ no INTs.

Kenny had a good game against the Bungles too. And again a lot of things lined up tonight. Revisit the post in the future. I think your opinion might sway.

I agree w/ this...Our best offensive output was against this Bengal team earlier. I think their D was like 28th in the league or something. One big thing in todays game is we did not allow much QB pressure so of course the QB looked good. Mason still looked better than expected, but we have to keep it into perspective

Rudolph can have games like this here and there. He has an arm. But he won't maintain that accuracy. I am willing to bet the farm on that. Pickens really helped his cause today. And man it was nice to see but I won't get it twisted beyond that.

That seems to imply that Kenny has been complacent. If so, then I'd have to agree that Rudolph should start. Especially since he exhibited an ability that Kenny hasn't shown with enough consitency ... The ability to look and see past his first read.

I don't think he has been complacent just handcuffed. Canada is gone. I think Kenny deserves to see what he has under a better set of circumstances. Someone who can coach him up.

Again I think we saw Rudy's arm tonight. It has always been long ball capable. Just inconsistent. Think it is easy to get lost in the moment. For me it is just a moment. Until things show different.

To give Rudy the nod I think the coaches have to think he isn't the answer. If that be the case round 1 should bring in a QB. But a healthy Kenny isn't continuing his development.... you don't do that sitting on the bench. For those ready to throw him in the waste basket they are entitled to that opinion. Just not shared by me yet.

Fair enough. But, to me, it's time to take a long hard look at the possibility of upgrading the position. There's a shelf-life for guys like Cam and TJ and we don't have 5 years for KP8 to figure it out.

Its all good. Great win. Im proud of the team for their performance and Im happy and very proud of Mason. He seems like a good person and he has waited his turn and he played very well when his team really needed him.

Keep in mind all the missing safeties and through that lense is looks better.

I am ok drafting a QB high for competition. My first mock had us taking Daniels in 1.

As I have said repeatedly and was ridiculed for it last year. Mason is the better passer. His issue in this offense was always lateral mobility and playing in a ****** scheme. I think Kenny is still more likely the long term answer but Mason could shine in the right scheme as a system QB. Hell he could be our answer even for the short term. I never felt Mitch was it.

Mitch definitely is trash 🗑️.

Not sure how long Rudy can play well but liked his play tonight. Not sure if Kenny is the long term answer just haven't closed the book yet. I have always liked Rudy's long ball. Just think his issues still remain in those tight windows in the red zone. He is ok with dump offs and they let the running backs do their fair share protecting him there tonight.

Right now I am leaning towards drafting competition. I am ok letting Mitch move on and won't lose sleep if Rudolph goes too.
