A man who confessed to shooting a Philadelphia police officer multiple times "in the name of Islam" used a stolen police gun and pledged allegiance to ISIS, authorities said Friday.

"This is absolutely one of the scariest things I've ever seen," Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said of surveillance footage that captured Thursday night's near deadly encounter in West Philadelphia. "This could have easily been a police funeral."

The bolded part STUNS me. He didn't go online or to a store, apply for a background check and wait 3 days? WTF? Clearly, we need more restrictive gun laws.
 
More gun laws needed!!!! you know what we have isn't working. I think it's time for the next step and remove them from our society. We will create a special security force..SS for short to round up these weapons and move our society forward. It's just the right thing to do -BO

We need a law that makes it illegal to steal guns from the police. I'm sure Bomma will get on that right away.
 
Well, if police's' guns had DNA or handprint safety precautions like Obama wants to explore and implement over the next decade, maybe stolen guns used on crimes will be a thing of the past.

Oh, I forgot, the NRA is against that. That's an "infringement" on selling more guns, gaining more control in congress and polarizing the landscape for their own benefit. How awful.
 
The mayor of Philly says Islam didn't have anything to do with it.

The shooter was a black Islamic terrorist. Obama is on his side, not the racist cop.
 
Just like the guy in France, sounds more like a suicidal crazy than a real terrorist.

The difference is the prevalence of guns in our inner cities allowed him to get off 12 shots of "crazy" while the guy in France put on a fake suicide vest and carried a knife as "crazy". Fortunately (and luckily) no one died here in the U.S.

Pro-gun or anti-gun, there has to be a way to reduce the total number of guns in our cities that both sides can agree on. Unless you have a magic wand that can solve inner-city poverty or relocate all African-Americans, gun reduction has to be part of the solution.
 
He had prior arrests for simple assault and firearms charges.

There is a magic wand, it's called Republicanism. Obviously Democrat policies for the past 50 haven't worked.
Bomma's proposed gun laws would mostly affect the way law-abiding white people buy guns. If the govt enforced the gun laws already on the books it would result in increased arrests and incarceration of more young black men, which the President does not want.

And what happens when a cop gets his gun dirty and it won't fire because the software can't recognize his handprint? Some of the most expensive recognition software and hardware in the world won't work with just one swipe of the finger or just one imprint of the palm. Yea, let's give that to the cops. You guys are geniuses I tell you.
