Wow Tomlin coaches and plays interesting. That's neat trick.
Steelers don’t blame coaches for latest loss to a bad team

The Steelers were widely hailed as the team no one wanted to see in the playoffs.
But it’s their habit of losing to the teams that don’t get that far which could doom them.
According to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Sunday’s loss to the Ravens was the 13th loss to a sub-.500 team the last four seasons, which is more than enough to make it more than a statistical fluke.
“Criticism for the coaches? No, they aren’t out there,” guard Ramon Foster said. “We are the ones who have to make the plays. Those guys didn’t do anything differently than in weeks past. We just have to make our plays and execute the plan, and we didn’t do that. That falls on us.”
Even last year when they lost to the 2-14 Buccaneers, it didn’t sting like this one, since a win would have put them in the driver’s seat for the playoffs, and now they have to beat the Browns and hope the Bills beat the Jets. The fact they lost control against a team starting its fourth quarterback of the year just makes it look that much worse, but they don’t like the implication they didn’t take the Ravens as seriously.
“We definitely didn’t overlook the Baltimore Ravens,” running back DeAngelo Williams said. “What bothers me is that people overlook 4-10 teams like they aren’t allowed to play good football or play up to a team that is hot or has a winning record. This is the National Football League. It is any given Sunday, and it is not always the best team that wins on Sunday. It’s the team that plays the best on Sundays. That’s what bothers me.”
All those cliches may be true. But so might the one about playing to the level of the competition when it comes to the Steelers.
Sad that Tomlin doesn't return the favor by taking any blame on himself. The standard is the standard, for everybody but Tomlin.
