To all the haters

I was hoping we would play where if we lost it was because we made Brady beat us(pressing the WR's at the LOS).....the way we played on defense tonight(same old same old 10 yard cushion/zone) we let Brady beat us. I actually thought we were going to see a lot of bump and run mixed in tonight. Boy was I wrong.

To all you ******* ******* who didn't post a damn thing during this 9 game winning streak who waited until today to come back and spew your bull ****. **** you all. We lost as a team today to a better team. The game plan sucked and the players sucked. Yes it's lowB repuS or bust in Pittsburgh but when we were 4-5 no one thought we be even playing today.. I'm disappointed but proud of the resiliency this team displayed to even get here today. **** you ******* you know who you are. You will be the first ones posting in this thread.

Hey ant(brain)drewjosh:

Some people just come on here to vent after a crushing loss. It's cathartic. It's been a tough night. Give them a break.

And since I'm done replying in the Bradshaw thread, I'll add this: Enjoy the offseason, and go **** yourself.

Chris Hoke basically put this on the coaches as well.

If you ask any ******* fan, not coach, a ******* fan from any team what you can't do vs Brady, they'd all say sit back in a zone and not come after him. That's exactly what we did. I don't want to hear this ******* bullshit that we don't have the talent to play man and jam them, Burns and Cockrell, Davis are all bigger for coverage, Dupree, Harrison are good pass rushers, Timmons and Shazier, Davis are all good at blitzing.
I think we have the personnel to play the way you need to beat them, but we didn't even ******* try it!

"Topshit" is the best you've got, ant(brain)? My, so clever.

So let me ax you something: Was the ****** gameplan on your boy Tomlin, or are you just blaming Butler? You know, because players play, and coordinators coordinate, amiright?

Mr Tomlin once again out coached by the Hoodie. Did the same **** the same way and got beat the same way. No adjustments at the half, just stand there with the doo-doo look. That is what we got with Mr Tomlin today.

That's what pisses me off. It would make sense to stay in zone with last year's secondary, but this year we have Davis and Burns who can play man with the likes of Edelman and Hogan. They also have a healthy Shazier who should be able to cover in the middle.

I felt good about the game because like a fool, i simply assumed that drafting and fast tracking Burns and Davis to be starters was all building up to being able to match up with the Pats, to finally have the athletes to do more than just sit back in zone and let the Pats paper cut them to death.

Look at what the Pats DL did while Bell was in there. They were not rushing upfield. THey were staying at the line and just clogging holes as a way to stop Bell. BTW, look for that tactic to be used vs Bell next year by any decent DC that watched the game. That's just a simple, smart adjustment that was working.

As i watched the pats complete pass after pass against the soft zones, it was hard for me to be mad at the DBs. They were just playing the scheme. They were set up to fail.

Sad. SMH I already said we sucked today..coaches and players. What do you want?? Oh for me to say Tomlin is dumb and stupid. Forgot that part. FOH top and anyone else too stupid too realize he isn't going anywhere. Will be the coach here for a long time. Yes we lost today in the AFC championship.. half you haters swore we wouldn't ever get that far again under him. And if we lost today because of the gameplan then I guess we won 9 in a row because of the gameplans correct?

Oh yea lets fart rainbows and unicorns after the Steelers just got their ***** handed to them for the umpteenth time by the Bill and Tom show. Yea that doesn't work for me. Sorry.

So we are supposed to be happy when they get embarrassed in just about every facet of the game?

Good post. For the first time in recent memory, I thought they had a decent chance to beat the Patriots. But for the exact reasons you mentioned above, boy, was I mistaken.

And I also agree with what you said about Bell, which is why (along with his past transgressions) I'd be hesitant to break the bank on his new contract.

I mean yeah, they did a solid job of doing it for that 1/4 of a quarter or so. I believe Leveon and the OL would have been able to adjust and run on them if we would have kept the game close. I'm fairly certain other DC have thought of this strategy and have failed vs. Leveon. I know Belichick is God but this isn't some kind of crazy scheme to stop a cut back runner.

Ive said teams would start doing that to him before the playoffs, no one has been able to, he said he got hurt on the 2nd play, so he ran the ball once when he was healthy

No, A-B, I don't want you to say Tomlin is dumb and stupid. The fact that Tomlin isn't going anywhere doesn't have anything to do with you evading the question. Yes, the last nine gameplans were good enough to beat eight underdogs and squeak by a slight favorite in KC with six field goals...Tomlin rulz!

But, since you mentioned earlier in this thread that the gameplan sucked, what I want you to do is directly answer my question:

DOES TOMLIN DESERVE ANY BLAME FOR TODAY'S GAMEPLAN, OR IS IT ALL BUTLER'S FAULT? Any simple answer devoid of your usual bullshit will do.

YEEEAAY!!!! Another late round draft pick which our front office will **** up!!!!

I'm just pointing it out as an example of how the Pats did something new for a particular opponent. They have players who are smart enough to be able to carry it out.

He's the head coach. He helped put the plan in place so of course. That's always been my point. If he gets the blame when we lose he should get credit when we win. That's has always been my point. See how you belittled any contribution he had in getting us to today's game. Squeaked by KC. SMH. It's the same ol ****. We win it's not him we lose its all him. That **** don't fly with me. For any coach.

When Tomlin was interviewed at halftime and asked what we needed to do, it seemed like he was saying he had no idea, except he used different words. I thought he was bluffing.

The problem, Josh is that one would hope that a bunch of yinzers on a ******* message board weren't actually better qualified to prepare a plan of attack for the offense and defense in the AFC Championship game than our 3 Stooge coaches. Sadly, that appears to NOT be the case.

In fact it looks like Hoodie reads our ******* board. THEY were smart enough to use a ******* flea-flicker.

But not the Steelers coaches. They figured they'd just pound D'Angelo in there without a fullback for ******* kicks.

if you lower your expectations from super bowl to afcn champs, it makes digesting tomlins coaching quite a bit easier.

On the brightside.. Todd Haley is not going to be getting a HC position anytime soon. IMO, Ken Whisenhunt is still the best OC Ben has had. Looking back at Ben's playoff run in 2005, those games were perfectly called from an offensive stand point. The AFCC game vs. the Broncos, Ben shredded their defense with quick short throws without a run game.
I hope Ben has another opportunity to get to the SB.

Oh well look on the bright side and how each year we have advanced...2 years ago we lost the wild card round, last year we lost the divisional round, this year we lost the conference round, next year we lose the SB...oh wait.

Hey, they did have Nix run a route for a pass. That sure fooled the Pat D.
