I would love to see Rudolph traded to the 49ers just to see him play under Shannahan. Look at Sam Darnold, he was a mess, spent a year as a backup to Purdy, goes to Minnesota and boom. Now in Seattle and playing well. Granted he has had all pro receivers on both teams but his decision making has vastly improved. Now Jones is risen and Mr. Irrelevant Purdy has to be the luckiest quarterback in the league getting drafted by San Francisco making 53 million a year, he is not a great quarterback or even really good and Jones is actually outplaying him now.
It will be interesting if the 49ers try to unload him (probably not) and his salary this offseason to some team (you know who) who thinks his success will continue when they force him into “their system.”
