I am not interested in PJ Williams in the 2nd round. I think that Jalen Collins and Gregory are DND due to multiple failed drug tests. It will all depend on the run at the top of the 2nd. I would expect teams to grab pass rushers and wide receivers, especially the teams at the top of the 2nd. That is still the value. Corners won't come in until the middle of the round. The Steelers may wait until the middle rounds for a corner, they have in the past. Watch for guys like Preston Smith or Xavier Cooper in these rounds, tweeners that could play DE and provide some pass rush. Watch for an OL. Corner could be in play and if the right OLB prospect falls, could double down. Hard to say until it starts to shake out.
Adam Schefter said he thought the target was Maxx Williams. According to the photos of the Steelers war room, they had 1 corner in the first and 4 corners at the top of the 2nd. Waynes was the top corner in the first. After him, Peters, Johnson, and Jones were taken, meaning one corner with a 2nd round grade is left. Of those 4 corners, one had a red dot, meaning off-the-field issues. Could have been Peters, but he may not have a dot since his issues really are not "major" off-the-field issues. It could be Jalen Collins, who failed multiple drug tests. I would not mind them trading a backup ILB, but I do not see that being enough for Tennessee to move down.
