TMC stories.

TMC knew his **** as well as anyone on this board and probably better than anyone. Sure, you can pick and chose where he may have been incorrect on something but no one is perfect. I would take his articles and thoughts on the Steelers any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Like Rush Limbaugh, TMC was right 99.7% of the time.

After the Bears game and the apology of Big Al, I really thought about just getting rid of the nfl ticket and taking the year off. If I was a better person I probably would have. But I am not.

For anyone that was actually able to walk away I think that is awesome..

I may have also thought that Watt was a better prospect than Budda Baker, but I will never say that I put in more time, energy, and study that he did, to come up with his evaluations or 200+ page draft analyses. I was never his equal in player evaluations (or Del's for that matter). I merely had opinions.

My strengths are trends, and strategy. TMC helped me become better at both, and also sparked my interest in fully understanding the Salary Cap/Contracts, since we no longer had his knowledge to rely on when he left, and had cap questions.

I'm sure he will still have a passion for college and football in general, and if he ever wants to return to give his insight on draftable players, I will be more than happy to read them.

The way I read it, TMC will continue to monitor college football, particularly South Carolina and the rest of the SEC. Doubt he could give up the college game.

Enough cared to respond, as they like what he brought to the board. Perhaps you should just speak for yourself. And not assume your opinion is shared by all or many.

And he didn't just bring solid draft info, he brought a lot of good Steelers insight. As far as the boycott viewers decline, the owners and players will care. It is money out of their pockets.
If you don't want to watch, don't watch. If you don't want to be here. don't be here. If you feel you can bring the league to their knees, have at it. I personally enjoy my Sundays and this as a DIVERSION of the real world. That is all it is.

he finally realized that coach knows more?

He always has :) But that's a moot point. Cheer up Steeler Nation fans TMC has retired about as much as Brett Farve has. Give him some time and I too will welcome him back.

Hell GM that are paid a **** ton to draft players and they are wrong alot, just like everyone here is so lets not try to make that a negative on him

True, I think TMC would be as good or better than the Jets or Browns GM.

I've been here since we were debating Kent graham vs Kordell Stewart. I'll say this much, back then, if you said you were leaving for whatever reason, just about the entire board would have said "don't let the ******* door hit ya in the *** on the way out". Anyone who thinks this place can get rough now, would not have lasted a day back then. That in particular is why it's a little surprising to me that people like TMC are done now, but it is what it is, and just like I'd have said if he said he was done back in 99 or whenever "Don't let the ******* door hit ya". I'll be watching the Steelers 20 years from now, Roger can't possibly be in charge till then, can he?

Think maybe you misconscred my post. He didn't tell me to post, I was merely letting everyone know so they weren't wondering what happened to his pre-game stories every week. Not sure if you were aware he was doing stories for the main page.

81, thanks for letting me know and I took it as that. TMC was very good reading and will be missed by ME.

I remember those days. Juice man and I used to have some good ones, he thought Kordell was the answer, I thought he was the problem.

Kent Graham...oh he was terrible. How did Cowher make the playoffs with these two at quarterback?

As for Goodell, Sith Lords unless they meet their demise from their apprentices tend to live a long, long time. Goodell will be fine as long as the NFL keeps making money and avoids labor strikes, much to my dismay.

This NEXT CBA will be a deal breaker for the "rog". He may be out durring that process. I see to many things, both NFL and political in this CBA. Strike and replacement players............FALCOs of America everywhere.

I think TMC knew his stuff, but he was often wrong.

Our debate over Phillip Rivers was a good one. I said he's going to be a good NFL QB, TMC felt he had a funky delivery, and no arm and would be out of the NFL in a short period of time.

TMC was rather high on Budda Baker this year and felt we should pick him in round one. .Not over Watt, who was my call. We'll see how Baker develops.

You are so comical Coach. You think you are in the same class as TMC, but oh, so far from it. He may have been wrong on a player, but he owned up to it when he was. You however, don't think you are ever wrong. TMC made you look like a grade school kid conversing with a constitutional professor, during your "debates". As Justin said, the post was in reference to his articles, not his personal decision on the NFL.

Here's an idea, you feel your his equal, put out the work he did for the Nation website and write articles. We know you won't, but put up or shut up about your implied superiority football knowledge.

I'm boycotting the NFL as well, but still staying on the board...I hope he does the same. This isn't all about Steeler football.

He hasn't been around for awhile but even so, when I did get a chance to read some of his opinions..I enjoyed it.

God speed TMC, you will be missed.
