Titans Taken To The Pit Of Misery As Roethlisberger Uses ‘Dilly Dilly’ Call

Baseball is the most difficult major professional sport. I played baseball for a lot of years. Coached baseball for quite a few.

Judging a pitch in a span of 0.4 seconds, and hitting a baseball moving at 95 mph+, or moving at 88 mph with incredible movement and dive, is the single most difficult athletic achievement in sports.

Seriously, a batter has 0.4 seconds to evaluate the 95 mph fastball - Ball? Strike? Low strike? Meatball? Too high? Inside? Outside? Middle? Middle-in but too high? Outside corner but knee-high??? - to judge the pitch and hit it.

I never appreciated the amount of strategy involved until my kids started playing and going to real MLB games.

Ever watch the home run derby? Who do they have running around in the outfield catching the fly balls that don't make it over the fence? KIDS! Guess what? They catch quite a few of them,

Okay, if you are allowed to put 30 defenders in a small area, I guess they catch 1 in 10.

Which is about the rate they catch the ball.

Fully agree but I still think the Stanly Cup Series outcome was way BETTER................................

Salute the nation

I don't know...a team going through the Red Sox, Yankees and Dodgers for their first ever Championship was pretty sweet

Speaking of the Browns

Sunday's was lowest announced fan attendance in 22 years.

Funny that the fans in Cleveland fought to keep the Browns name. For what? The original Browns were at least competitive throughout their tenure in Cleveland. This bunch? Not so much.

Can't bash the browns fans. Those guys literally had their team robbed from them.

Imagine if our beloved Steelers football went away due to the ownership simply wanting to make more money by moving to another city. (I know-never happen) but Cleveland was well supported and fans had no control over losing their team.

Those fans were without football for three years. I go into withdrawal during the bye week.

In fact, after watching their team leave they had to endure watching them win 2 Super Bowls for another city, in different colors.

They were rightfully given another team, and got to keep their name and colors (I know -they are ugly) and had to endure miserable football for all but one year for about 20 seasons.

I can understand those fans being bitter. I can't find fault with them. In fact they are to be admired for their passion.

Their front office, coaches, and players however- they are fair game. Have at em.
