The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are expected to release LB Lawrence Timmons by the start of the new league year.
The no-brainer move will create $5.4 million in cap space. Timmons went AWOL from the Dolphins in Week 2 but still ended up starting 14 games. He was a liability, generating zero sacks, forcing zero turnovers and getting walloped by the run. The ex-Steeler turns 32 in May. He will struggle for guaranteed money on the open market.
I rather get Zach Brown but with us needing to shell top dollar for Bell as well as adding a S and possibly a DT, at vet min and replacing Moats if you just blitz Timmons he can get the job done add in a young versatile LB in Evans and perhaps adding S Vaccaro you can have your problems to fill the speed and versatility that Shazier brought filled.
