Through 3 rounds can you honestly say the Steelers are a better football team?

Oh and why do we annually waste between a 3rd and 5th pick on some marginally talented QB who will most likely never see the field?

Just gawd awful.

Mason Rudolph was a 1st round talent. Only dropped because it was a big q.b. draft.
Huge upgrade to dobb and Landry. If you want to complain about those picks in years past sure. By don’t complain about Mason

Lol you Tomlin lovers can slob the knob all you want but this draft is pretty much a waste.

The first 3 rds of the draft have been highly disappointing.......a safety (which was a position of need at least) that by most accounts we took WAY too early and possibly would have been there to pick in the 2nd round.

Then a WR...... don't need.

Then a QB.......which we REALLY REALLY don't need.

Then a OT........ don't need.

I mean I guess it's a good thing we don't have a glaring hole at the MLB position because our guy shattered his back..........oh wait that's exactly the situation.

Anyone who thinks this is a winning draft for us is on danger of drowning on the Kool aid.

They won’t drown on Kool Aid here. While I like Edmunds he was over drafted.

And the OT pick pissed me off.

Would have taken Baker in round two.

Most accounts had Reid as a round 1 S. Most accounts had Harrison as possible Rd 1 and no later than 2. Both still around in round 3.

What does that tell you about "most accounts"?

Who was going to be our 3rd WR? Hunter? He barely had better last year than Sammy Coates.

No, sorry. 1st round caliber QBs go in the first round. It doesn't matter how QB heavy the draft is with about 2/3rds of the NFL in desperate need of a franchise QB. Guys can always outperform expectations but if he were as highly rated as you claim he would have gone earlier.

It also doesn't matter. We DIDN'T NEED that position.

At all.

On top of the fact that we desperately needed to address other positions.

Stupid move.

Wasted draft so far.

Hope they have a plan for MLB via trade otherwise it's going to be a wasted season too.

Yinz are nearsighted. Big Ben is a short timer, you better want someone besides Landry back there......

There has been many many good QBs that weren't drafted in 1.

That was really a ignorant statement.

Been reading this board for ages this is my 1st post though. Dont know if yall have been watching nfl network but they are ratimg the qb we got as one of the best picks in the whole draft. And as much as i love Ben his days are numbered for sure. Bryant was a disease im glad hes gone and the wr we got is a solid replacement. The tackle we took is a project but has all the tools to be very very good. The safety we got in round 1 is a good talent and more importantly is very versatile. I like what we did would have liked to see more defense but honestly with what was available i think we did well

Hell yes....Mason Rudolph will be a household name one day.....we definitely needed a real 3rd WR as Bryant sucked balls last year. Our 1st round pick will be a stud. But I am sure you watched all the film of these 3 players right? I mean you did watch their film correct?

I bet you haven’t watched very much. If you did you would see we got 3 ballers

Watched the films and im very impressed. And the "experts" are saying we had the best draft in our division too. Very high hopes for Rudolph.

Edmunds is going to play inside linebacker. He's close to James Farrior size now, if he puts 12 -15 lbs. of muscle on hell be a beast linebacker. Shazier part 2, with experience playing other positions.

Only time will tell. Until then flame on about how they didn't draft so and so

Something tells me they have a plan and all of their picks were calculated. Did they pick everyone they wanted? Highly doubt it, but they didn't throw darts at the board blindfolded, even though some may think that's the case.

Upgraded our backup QB which is huge...just look back to last season and the Eagles!

Also I think Washington is upgrade over Bryant and his ****** attitude. Bryant may have more talent but he's too much of a headcase. So we upgraded our WR's

Then of course we've upgraded our defense with Edmunds. Even if he was a reach, he's a nice addition to the D.

This draft just a continuation what Colbert’s been doing the Edmunds and Allen picks complete the secondary rebuild he started awhile ago. he had a lot whiffs in the process missing on shamarko and sanquez but hopefully we’ll see admunds at free and Allen at ss burns and Sutton at corners for sometime to come... I think the over reach on Edmunds was the fact he was one of few safety candidates to be able play the single safety over position like the dude in Seattle where you have to really have a lot speed to cover a lot of ground... I think those guys in the secondary and samuals and Washington in the offense gives us both help now and stability into the future at we go forward goooooo steeeelerrrrsss!!!!!!

I agree. Calculated picks and we are better plain and simple. There is a reason why we pick at the bottom of the draft every year its because as a franchise we are successful and have some good minds at the top. Go Steelers we will have an even better year this year

Edmunds is our ANTI-GRONK we have been in need of like forever. Face it. Gronk freaking kills us every time he plays against us and he is the number one reason the Steelers have NOT beat the Cheats and moved on to the past 2 Superbowls. Great pick up getting Edmunds IMHO.
