Three ways Claypool can transform the offense.

Coach, your heart is in the right spot about our beloved STEELERS but your commen sense and time to post should NOT equate to disfuntioning this board.

I've said this many times to you and the board but if you could learn just a little humility about yourself, you would be such a better person both here and in life. You don't need to be right all the time and it's human to admit fault. Take ownership and many MANY here would show way more respect and actually value your football acrymen much more.

I for one use to like your insight and ideas of our beloved STEELERS and gave hope for you but with time I fully see what many here see way more easily than me. I give you props occasionally only to failed by your claim of fame and self promoting back slapping at other's expense.

I've also said this many a many times, THIS IS THE GREATEST MESSAGE BOARD IN THE WORLD, BAR NONE. It takes everyone involved including ownership / techs / moderators / CoolieMan (due to not knowing his full capacity here) / article & podcast authors / neighbors pool boy or girl / posters both goo bad and the ugly as my point being this actually includes you. Why not be a protagonist and not an antagonist. Contribut in a positive and monetary way, you'd like this and yourself so much better rather than always being singled out.

To be clear STEELERNATION.COM is clearly my first choice in anything STEELERS and even comrodary and personal notes.

THANK YOU to all involved, yes that even includes you.

While we all know couch likes shiny toys, the idea of tossing experienced, talented players to the trash is concerning.

JuJu has only been targeted 24 times in 4 games. That's sad because he's CAUGHT 21 of them. Nearly an 88% catch rate. So hey, I know - let's ENDLESSLY throw the ******* ball to Dionte Johnson who catches once in a awhile, because DAYUM he can skitter around like a right june bug when he gets the ball.

Washington has a better catch rate than Johnson. Look, I want to be excited about the kid as much as anybody but he's just not reliable right now. And sadly, for some reason Ben is feeding him the ball like he's an anorexic prom queen that needs to LB up before the big dance. Sadly, Johnson, like said prom queen will just puke it up at the worst possible time.

While I'm on the topic, I would rather like to see Ebron clean up his act a bit too. He can talk all tough with the fans, but when you can't catch **** - well to use another one of those abbreviations, STFU.

JuJu has the unique speed, vision and ability to take a ball 90 yards, through defenders. I agree. Claypool looks like he may be special. But let's give it a season to see how things progress. This WR corps SHOULD be special. None of them are superstars at the moment and that means they are all working together and focusing on simply winning games. Why would anyone want to **** with good chemistry after the last few seasons?

For me DJs injuries get in the way of where he is...., so I am kinda taking the wait and see approach with him, right there with you on Juju.

Ebron is what he came in with the same concerns mouth and drops. I see him trying to limit the drops but I suspect we will still see more of both. Hopefully just not in critical situations.

I didn't like Ebron's "**** the fans" quote or attitude when he said it. I also don't like the drops he has had either. Typical speak before you can back it up attitude.

JuJu is the real deal and don't think for a minute the STEELERS will let him walk without a fight to keep him.

washington is not getting any love from anyone yet he is producing.

Deonte Johnson has all of us concerned. He has had some bonehead drops / plays / and injured at the wrong time. Give him time to heal, then work his Azz heavily on catch then vision (it's just an instant of time between the two). The ONLY way to practice that is muscle memory and repetition. JUGGs for 14 days straight, no breaks and no easy.

Chase Claypool is up and coming so everyone is putting pressure on the rookie to be god's gift but won't give him time to grow in a receiver sense. I'm hoping he will handle the lime lite and responsibilities well. I'm also able to realize rookie mistakes will be made along the way.

Keep playing and trust our HOF Quarterback to make the throws and to whom it's dictated as the play goes. BEN is on fire and has the experience to back it up.

Noted. I added the end around to how Claypool transforms the offense.

I am impressed by Ju'ju's catch percentage, same with Claypool. Johnson's however is on the lower side.

In terms of who I want to see the targets go to, because I think it will help the Steelers the most:

1 ) Claypool. I need to see a few more game like last week before saying could this be another C Johnson, or Randy Moss
2 ) Ju Ju - He;s playing for a new contract.
3 ) Ebron who also has a good catch percentage, especially int he last two games. We forger Ebron is new to this offense too. He makes first downs.
4 ) Washington - He's been reliable lately.
5 ) Johnson, - Ball control, good quick decisions, and injuries have been an issue. He is better than he has shown
6 ) McFarland - Has not happened yet. but when it does I want to see it.
7 ) Conner
8 ) McDonald

Amazing that he is so good at running the ball. He ran the ball last game as many times as he ran in 4yrs at ND. They underutilized him there. He was however, a RB in HS.

You are off on the TEs. McDonald and Ebron had very high drop rates before coming to Pitt. For RBs our best pass catchers are (in order)
1. Samuels 2. Conner 3. McFarland, 4 Snell

Still nice to see the Steelers adapt hands sound receivers in the draft.
