Here are the DB's on the roster:

Cornerback (5) – William Gay, Ross Cockrell, Artie Burns, Justin Gilbert, Senquez Golson

Safety (5) – Mike Mitchell, Robert Golden, Sean Davis, Shamarko Thomas, Jordan Dangeráeld

1 ) By the looks of it, two rookies Burns and Davis will be playing in the dime. Considering how much we play dime, this is a major weakness early in the season and perhaps for the season.

2 ) With just 4 healthy corners, one injury will force a roster move. Let's hope we can keep Grant and Shabazz on the Practice Squad.

3 ) The next man up after the starters at Corner and Safety are real question marks.

4 ) The Pass Rush is a must.

Doesn't most significant injuries force roster moves?

Will be interesting how Gilbert fits into the equation..............

I never said significant.

It doesn't have to be an injury to a starter or a significant injury to a reserve player. We only have 4 healthy corners on the team. One's a rookie who hardly played, the other doesn't know the system.

Teams keep 5 or 6 corners. We only have 4 that can play right now.

If someone is out for a game or two, a move will have to be made. Likely Dangerfield cut.

As for Gilbert because he's a return man and a good one at that, Ayers ( Sorry Coolie ) has less chance to move up to the 53 man squad.
