Pretty sure nobody expected our defense to be the winning dimension of this team. If there was anyway to count on some level of consistency with that, it would be great. This is a Tomlin team, however, so this week I fully expect a complete defensive meltdown to complement a competent offense that results in a last minute field goal one way or the other.
 
I don't think so. I think this "D" will be agressive and handle this upcoming match up well. I think Tuitt is back (might be wrong) as that will be big improvement. I think Golden will be better situated, so that helps. I think these guys are finding somewhat of a groove and starting nto click a little. Add all this to a better BEN and offense, we roll

I think Golden has been playing well, so I'm wondering if Tomlin will stick with him, or revert back to the old cagey vet.

The pass defense is better than expected, the run defense has been highly suspect.
 
I feel like the SF game was the only game in recent memory that both the offense and defense played well

Your memory would be correct.....SF was our only point explosion and Kaepernick is still running from Shazier in his dreams.......

I'm surprised more teams don't try to establish the ground game. Get the defense running down hill and then you completely can exploit a still shaky secondary.
