**** this whole season

I mean, its pretty obvious to everyone now that they are just shuffling deck chairs on the titanic now...

Scheme and philosophies dont work... bring in new players
Still doesnt work... change over the roster again

Still doesnt work... new players, maybe an assistant change that somehow always morphs into the same issues

Yeah, it surprises me how many fans thought they had a contender this year, this has been the exact same team all season and quite frankly, for years now.
 
There’s still a lot of season left and this is America…………

I’m not naive enough to expect, but just loyal enough to care.

Not this fan, it's been painfully obvious for a long time that Tomlin is average at best, but we'll just fire Terryl Austin this offseason, give Tomlin another extension, sign Kurt Cousins, trade for a few players then not use them rights, sign a couple 30+year olds and unleash hell in December.

@Coryea , you are spot on. I will share a few texts from my son yesterday, mind you he just turned the big 40!

"Just numb to it now. Always trick myself early in the season"
"Until Tomlin leaves we'll never be real condentenders again"

I couldn't have said it better. A lot of fans get pretty excited at the beginning of the year, even with the usual "non-eventful" off seasons. Then, with splash trades and signings in the off-season a lot of us were even more enthused. Thank you Admiral Ackbar, "It's a trap!", we now see it was just that...a trap. The season starts with NO defense and a unique dink and dive offense utilizing the 15 tight ends the team must have. Well that fell off quickly and then the D decided to play better, to coincide with A-Rod and the offense forgetting how to do the fundamentals.

Right around this time each year we realize, the coaching staff sucks. We might make a change at DC, or maybe OC, but they are all doing what Mr. Shades want, which isn't a good plan at all.

I personally really want to see what Will Howard can do, I believe he has that 'moxy' and toughness we need in a QB.

"Thank you Aaron, let us hand you a parting/retirement gift while you head back to Malibu". I am so good with that.

It what it is, or has been, and no changing it now.

I don't think it matters who the QB is, they'll still have to play in this Elementary ultra conservative scheme. I made a post this past off season that Tomlin has sucked all the excitement out of this franchise, I use to get really pumped about the draft, but haven't for awhile know, I know whoever we get is going to be handcuffed in a horribly basic scheme no matter what position they play.
But hey never had a losing season, HELL YEAH!

Yeah, sure, but those guys are coaches only because Mike Tomlin thinks they are good at their jobs. We can see that they are not and the WR's and OL are underperforming but Tomlin is satisfied with the results so he is the one to carry blame for their failures, unless we expect them to fire themselves.

My 31 year old son said this - "Break the bank for defense and a HOF QB to make sure we get that 9-8."

It's all so obvious. Super annoying.

Also, I don't want Tomlin being Howard's coach if possible.

Oh don't worry, he'll use our #1 this coming season on a QB and ruin him.

Yes. This team is rarely fun to watch when they win. There is no joy in watching this team because there is no direction. They don't build toward greatness, they tread water to stay mediocre.
 
We have to seriously consider this QB possibility, The Pittsburgh Steelers sign Joe Flacco!
