This Team Is All Good, Chill

bullshit....you have 5 posts...not sure if you've been here before as another username...but plenty here love to see the Steelers lose so they can ***** and complain.

you haven't watched 11 wins? were some not televised in your area?

I would much rather watch them play ****** football and win than play brilliantly and lose.

they have things to fix, like the running game, but team has played better than they did yesterday and certainly will do the same as the season moves forward.

You're definitely entitled to your opinion. That's what being a fan is...being opinionated. What is bullshit is discounting another fan because he only has 5 posts. You had 5 posts once. Maybe you were wet behind the ears back then. But you might have had experience and knowledge not acquired by a message board? I talk, debate, and argue with lots of fans. I've been doing it for decades. So I'm not going to show up to a message board with my tail between my legs and ask permission to voice my opinion.

So take your bullshit and shove it where it came from. We disagree on how we enjoy our favorite team. But my perspective is no better or worse than yours, just different.

Thanks for being such a wonderful ambassador to this message board by putting a new member in his place...simply because he's new.

Holy crap, I never thought I'd something in common with both jmill and t-man consecutive posts.

I have not worn Steelers gear this season, and am holding back on giving a Claypool jersey to my boy because of the streak.

And yesterday's game was difficult because I didn't have a beer. Game ball to jmill for that!

My dog has worn the Steeler hanky (and sometimes TWO) around her neck since week 1...not superstitious but it's working, lol.

I did not discount you for having 5 posts, I simply pointed out that if you had not been here long you would not realize that several people here live for a loss so they can *****. That is clearly what the "bullshit" comment was about. That is why I put that sentence from your post in bold type

none of the rest of my post belittled anything you said. it just gave my viewpoints.

You might have a little bit of reading comprehension issues. A little bit.

I haven't gotten to watch 11 wins this season.

Well hell, 11 times I watched the Steelers play & this year every time I turned off the TV, the Steelers won...That is 11 wins...

I'm so tired of everyone bitching about this team...I wanna go to all your jobs and evaluate how the **** you perform at yours. ...It's like my *****-*** boss who has never sold **** telling me AFTER I close a deal, I should have said this or that....He's never sold ****...JUST LIKE NO ONE HERE EVER PLAYED THE DAMN GAME...**** you all..11-0 *******

11-0 & this ******* forum is whining just like Harbaugh

The number of posts I have is irrelevant. I don't have to be here for a day or 6 years to know that there aren't Steeler fans WANTING the Steelers to lose for any reason other than maybe a #1 draft pick. The people you are referring to are curmudgeons who complain about everything. The smallest, infinitesimal detail is an issue, a trigger. And they are ready and willing to jump on it and complain. But no, I do not believe that their desire to complain is so great that they want the Steelers to lose just so they can ***** and moan. They don't need a loss to do that. There's plenty to complain about even when we're winning.

Et tu, brute? I'm getting the impression that the senior members of this board are territorial, elitist, and paranoid. Is a new member showing up with an opinion such a threat? I guess I missed the section of the TOS where it said I have to earn the right to have an opinion around here.

That's the difference between a casual fan's perspective and someone who has played and coached the sport. The players don't feel that it was a "win." The coaches don't feel it was a win. No one in the organization is happy right now. I reserve the right to feel more like the team and coaches than someone who only knows the sport from an armchar.

no he is just pointing out that it seems like you may have misread my initial post, since as I have pointed out it did not belittle your thoughts on this topic.

speaking about belittling another poster's opinions?

it doesn't matter if they feel it was a win. it went into the books as a W so we have seen 11 wins this season...unless you missed one or more of the games

So it doesn't matter what the team feels. The Steelers players are irrelevant. Got it.

And how did I belittle another's opinions? I said that his comment was from a different perspective and that I reserve the right to align mine with the team, and not a casual fan. There are casual fans, you know. Nothing wrong with that. But casual fans look at the sport very differently than those who have played and coached it. Completely different mindset.

You had already pointed that out, and he showed up with a jab at me. That's fine. I don't mind taking a jab or two. But if you take a shot, I'll counter. I'm not here for my disposition. (Do I owe Greg Lloyd a royalty for saying that, or is it far enough from the original quote?)

Side note: I offered to pay Lloyd's fines for him if he'd give me that shirt before a preseason game in Tampa. He said, "Get out your checkbook." I wasn't really prepared for that response and didn't respond quickly enough. He said, "Yeah, that's what I thought," turned around, waving his hand at me dismissively, and walked off.

Me and my big mouth.

that is not what I said at all

you seem to want to be offended about everything. lighten up francis....this is just a message board

I get ALL THAT ****....But bottom line is 11-0, Scoreboard says 11-0...

EVERY TEAM HAS ISSUES...KC's defense is VERY SUSPECT

How many NFL wins you got? Mr Coach? That's all I'm sayin'...I was as disappointed as the next guy in how we played...But quit yer bitchin' STEELER NATION...

Your "not bitching" and my "bitching" can cancel themselves out, okay? We both want the same thing in the end. We just look at it from different angles. And not that it matters at all, but I played in college (D-1) and coached high school. So 0 wins or losses in the NFL. I have had two gatorade baths, however, when my football team won two state championships.

I watch the Steelers from a coach's perspective. I wasn't about wins and losses. That wasn't my focus. My focus was on putting the team in the best position to win on Friday nights. If they executed the gameplan, fought, stayed focused amidst the distractions (bad calls, being human, being overmatched, etc.), and represented themselves well, and the school, while doing it, the scores and record would take care of themselves. And for the most part, that happened according to expectation.

So again, I reserve the right to enjoy the Steelers from a coach's perspective. No disrespect to anyone who didn't coach and/or play.

Lot of diehard watch every game here fanatics. Way past the casual fan. Board also has some coaches and some fans that at good at breaking down game film as well as some who have played football to some degree.

We all respect what the team and players think but there is also deciphering what they say as people can come to two different conclusions based on one sentence. It happens.

Someone who has coached in some way form of fashion that thinks his opinion should trump others. he should meet cooch they should get along just fine.

It's exactly what you said. Maybe you should have bolded more text? I said the players didn't feel it was a win. You said, "it doesn't matter if they feel it was a win"

Stop freaking out, Karen, it's just a message board.

Coolie has been calm through his whole conversation while you have been confrontational. If anyone has been acting like a Karen it is you. Not that I am labeling you with that........ yet.

Talk about reading comprehension issues. I've said numerous times that my opinion is not better or worse than anyone elses. I've stated numerous times that there are different perspectives and different angles when looking at the same subject. Where did you get that I feel my opinion should trump others? I just didn't like the way I was approached. And even when I give a light-hearted anecdote about an incident with Greg Lloyd where I kind of got owned, the response is that I'm "one of those guys." So both of you can come down from your high horses and stop with the holier than thou mantra. You're doing exactly what I felt like you would do when I initially labeled you.

Nice board. Very welcoming.

That comes across as hey I coach(ed) so I know more.

My reading comprehension is just fine thank you.

It's cool to see Uncle Rico on the board. As for the team, hopefully a little extra time on the jugs this week will cure a lot of their ills..

Not gonna lie, I'm a fan of Glory Days.

One thing is for certain. This ain't Pop/Hollywood Bags/ etc ad nauseam.
