While I agree this team made some BAD mistakes today and failed to capitalize at times, this team knows how to play defense and can muster up enough offense. Man, I am not down on this team!
Just think, you have gotten to watch 11 wins so far this season! How many ******* years can we say that?
Chill! sit back and watch them win and quit bitching about how they do it!
We may lose a game or two before the end of the season but I think we need to in order to get better and go all the way!

Here We Go Steelers! Here We Go!

Looks like we cant discuss this, everyone wants to talk about how bad this team and coach is. Now I understand why I do a drive by here.

oh the turds here are just waiting for a loss so they can really unleash their wrath

yes this team has some warts, but which team doesn't. The Steelers have played well enough to win each game so far. **** how the games look, a win is a win

Ben is playing very well and the your receivers are doing very well, Ebron was a great pick up and the defense is ******* awesome
\
but as you say...that doesn't matter....

That's my concern.
Teams will now double T.J. with impunity until Highsmith shows he can apply pressure.

They sort of have already been doubling Watt he just enforces his will. But yeah we need Highsmith to show he is capable.

the small opportunity Highsmith has had, he has delivered. here is to him being the next great outside linebacker of your Pittsburgh Steelers!!

Dupree going down is going to hurt, but next man up and keep rolling

Actually this is an audition as to post Dupree. We will get to see what we have and a better look as to retention level of BUD.

Also I feel sorry for the people who can't enjoy a truely AMAZING STEELERS SEASON.

Salute the nation

This game is a throw away, no one including both coaches had a clue how the players would play. We made enough plays to win that is all that matters. Lets get back to some kind of normal schedule and wait for Washington.. I hate losing Bud but that is the NFL, Win our division and get in the play offs that is the goal sure beats last year. We as fans want every play to be perfect, if you are a Steeler fan we all know just not how we play. Lets go

I'll take an ugly *** win over a pretty loss every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Period. 11 and counting *************. Let's just hope we can find an OLB to step up and somewhat fill the hole left by Bud.

I haven't gotten to watch 11 wins this season. My rose colored glasses are broken. I enjoy watching the Steelers play good football, win or lose. I don't enjoy watching the Steelers suck, win or lose. If all that matters is the W, then don't watch the game or even watch highlights. Just stare at the standings for 3 hours every week. Hopefully, you can invite friends over for a post- super bowl party to celebrate the victory. You can spend the time during the game shopping for snacks since the actual play doesn't matter, only the outcome.

Being undefeated is amazing, and this team certainly knows how to do enough to pluck victory from defeat. That is what makes them special this season. But at some point, when it counts, they are going to have to actually play good football for 60 minutes or all these "wins" won't mean anything.

That's what many of you misunderstand. Many of us complain because we love the Steelers and want them to succeed. None of us want them to lose so we can complain. To me, winning the super bowl is more important than record. And to win it, we have to be better than we have been in the past 11 games.

bullshit....you have 5 posts...not sure if you've been here before as another username...but plenty here love to see the Steelers lose so they can ***** and complain.

you haven't watched 11 wins? were some not televised in your area?

I would much rather watch them play ****** football and win than play brilliantly and lose.

they have things to fix, like the running game, but team has played better than they did yesterday and certainly will do the same as the season moves forward.

You have the great Steelers and the heart attack Steelers. Yesterday wasn't even the heart attack Steelers. This group wasn't ready to put away a game that should have been a blowout. Tomlin was right to call it a JV effort and I hope the team is ready to go again on Monday with a varsity effort.

Go watch any game around the league and you'll be hard pressed to find a team play a complete 60 minute game of good football. It is about making plays through out the game.

People's standards are way too high, we aren't going to score every possession and we aren't going to stop the opposition from scoring every drive. This team is playing good situational football and making plays when they need to be made, that's how you win.

All I know is the place where I would rest my back on my recliner never gets touched during the game....always on the edge of my seat, always making sure I am doing the same for the current game that I did for the previous game! Example, yesterday's game when we went for it on 1st possession and didn't score, thats because I didn't get a beer yet! As soon as I did that, we score!!! And all this....I wouldn't have any other way! Its part of the amazing journey, LETS GOOOOOO! RENEGADE!

Yeah, I get that. I'm not usually superstitious at all, but with the Steelers it's a different beast. I accidentally didn't have any Steeler gear on for the first win, so the rule this year has been no Steelers jerseys, t-shirts, etc till after the game on gameday. It's worked so far!

Joe

Holy crap, I never thought I'd something in common with both jmill and t-man consecutive posts.

I have not worn Steelers gear this season, and am holding back on giving a Claypool jersey to my boy because of the streak.

And yesterday's game was difficult because I didn't have a beer. Game ball to jmill for that!

Losing Dupree does hurt. But he really wasn't productive until TJ came along. Looking forward to seeing Highsmith putting up similar numbers.

I've only worn my Big Ben jersey all season long. I just don't have the strength to change to one of my many others. I did it for support for Ben coming back at first, now it's because we keep winning when I wear it. I'm going to ride this as long as I can!

I have had to wear the same T-shirt every game. Panicked last week as I couldn't find it. Found it just in time.

I have alternated between Ben and TJ for home games and only Ben for road games. I may have worn a Juju jersey once this year. Totally bummed to be missing these games in person. Would have been to at least 2 of them already.

Blind squirrel, nut, and all that. :) Let's just hope the good vibes take us right to number 7.

No Steelers gear during the games this year. No posting in the game thread during the games. Have to watch the game in my living room and not in my favorite chair (My dad was here for game 1 and he was sitting in my chair talking **** on the Steelers, wanted to throw his *** out the door ... but, anyway, now I sit where I was that day .. EVERY game).

Dupree wasn't productive until he learned how to be an OLB. I'm thinking it's no coincidence that that didn't occur until Porter was let go and Butler took both he and TJ under his wing. Both have had great seasons since then.
But, you're right in the regard that it's now Highsmith's turn to show what he can do. Hopefully that's enough.
