Midseason injuries to ben where old and young backups split the time and kept us above water... that's happened a few times before, plus when he was suspended

Bell getting his knee blown out by Cinci, just like last year

Bryant not playing in the first 5 games, but putting up the same kind of numbers as last year, when he didn't play in the first 6

The end of the season was exactly like it was in 93, with it coming down to a jets loss and us beating the browns

The first playoff game vs the Bengals... The bengals starting QB getting knocked out by us (albeit a few weeks before) and handing them a devastating playoff loss all like 05

The end of that game was eerily similar to the Indy game in 05, where a series of longshot plays and situations played out to keep us from blowing a game we dominated the entire time till the end.

Having to face Peyton Manning as fairly big underdogs on the road in the divisional series, just like in 05......

The injuries to two top backs and the QB for a stretch this season is a lot like what happened in the legendary 76 season, well without the defense behind it of course....

And speaking of the defense... doesn't it's role seem a lot more like 95 when the D lost Woodson and couldn't stop anyone the first 7 weeks... the team changed to a wide open offense and changed the way the d was attacking and got semi respectable down the stretch, in a way a lot of people didn't notice...

Just so many memories seem toi be here this season... its like the 50 year review of past glories and heartbreaks all over again

Peezy doing the talking and backing it up with his on field performance!

Referees being terrible and blowing calls.

I missed the peezy one, but yeah... as for the refs being bad, well you know what they say, Death, Taxes, Ohio teams sucking, Refs blowing....

The Bengals ******** their pants in the playoffs definitely Dejavu........

I was thinking the exact same thing.

And then Clemson lost.

Clemson was the underdog with the runner QB going against the dynasty at Alabama and their Heisman RB, just like Texas and Young up against USC with Bush.

But alas, Clemson's D couldn't give Watson the one more chance he needed at the end.

Destiny is out the window boys. We're gonna have to win this one without Gawd's help.

All good points without question, but what a season!!!! The drama to watch the team work through the injuries and finally gel to a 2nd round playoff team was well worth the price of admission. Let's continue the journey this season. Go Steelers!!!!
