Just wondering what your situation in life would be for that to happen? I've had a knife pulled on me once in my life, by a guy, and lived to tell about it.

I can only imagine the male would have to do something heinous to provoke the woman, or she is bat **** crazy, and in that case why aren't you running away from that as fast as you can?

If a woman wants to try and act like a man then she should be treated like one. I personally probably just bend her wrist down to a wrist lock, until she calms down. That's also the same thing I would do to most guys, because I have a lot of training and don't need any more lawsuits.

Agreed.


There are exceptions to hitting men and women. But 99.9% of the time I'm not in a violent situation to do so.

I hope you're kidding. Tell me, if it was your daughter how would you feel then?
The right thing to do is simply walk away from her. She was obviously overreacting about something so don't make the situation worse. Defuse it and walk away. I'm sure no one would have questioned his manhood had he just turned around and headed out.

In todays pussified society, you're whatever gender you identify with. If a biological women thinks she can fight like a man then by all means let her. I only have boys, but they're taught to keep their hands to themselves and fight when it's appropriate.

I don't defend the guy and I don't have to. He's protected by the law. There is a reason why he was never arrested or even detained. They had the video immediately after when they questioned him, yet never put him in handcuffs. There is no criminal case here. He's a douche, he shouldn't hit women, and he's a great mentor for Burfict, but the law states you can protect yourself when attacked.

It's not my job to teach law here, and I'd be vastly under qualified to do so, but I do understand why he wasn't arrested after watching that video.
 
I think what Mixon did was despicable, but not as despicable as the premeditated torture and killing a hundred dogs. I suspect some of you have your black and gold glasses on now, just as you did a couple years ago.

I recall a lot of "He served his time. Everybody deserves a second chance" So what happened with that?

Why does it take a video for people to be outraged? Do you realize there have been many players charged with domestic violence in the past five years? Adrian Peterson, etc.

Ha no I don't do hapkido or kung fu ****. That's probably effective against a loud mouth like you but not against guys I train with.

WTF? Did you read what I said? I certainly do not support what he did in any way shape or form. I was responding to what someone already said about it being self defense. That is BS. It was not self defense. But, the justice system may deem it that way since she did make the first move toward him. If he gets off scott free and I think he already did, someone needs to take him down a back alley and kick his ***.
 
It doesn't surprise me that the bungles have such a character guy as this. Does it surprise anyone here, truely???? Marvin's team character seems to be of the inmate prison type character. Look at members of the rest of the team to know this. One thing this bad *** needs to remeber is the teams / players he will be playing against have seen this video and are a little bit stronger than the girl he punched. What it boils down to is the cheap back stabbing shots taken on defenseless players. BIRTHDEFECT is testament to that as he has changed the rules in that respect. (Being ejected from the field of play). **** the bungles and their **** *** team.

Why does SHE get a pass though ?...HE ****** up.....but she played a role initiating the violence...adults need to keep their hands to themselves. This would include women. No excuse for him, no excuse for her either.....

With that said, Mixon will be a great back in this league provided he walks the straight and narrow.
 
Maybe T.J. can "initiate" Mr. Mixon to the Steeler/Bengal rivalry this season..

The Bengals actually look for these opportunities where they can get a 1st round talent later in the draft because of character issues. They see it as great value.

I don't think it takes a video to be outraged, but there is a difference between being accused of DV with no or biased witnesses and having a video showing the KO. There is no doubt in anyone's mind he hit her.

Obviously, you can argue whether he should or shouldn't have, as noted above. However, with all of the DV mouth noises the NLF and its players made last year (or was it the year before) and The Rog not needing anything like a conviction or video to enact punishment, you would think teams would shy away from this.
