Joe Mixon.....what a piece of ******* ****! Looks like he'll fit right in with Burfh Defect & Pac Man Jones!

Was he arrested or convicted of anything? From the video it looked like Mixon was assaulted twice before he defended himself. Perhaps people should just keep their hands to themselves.

There is no doubt that Mixon's punch was devastating, but you have to ask yourself, would that girl have gotten hit if she did not choose to strike Mixon?

You have to ask yourself would you have punched a female with the same force he laid on her?
I doubt it, because you are not a ******* out of control animal.

If he merely slaps her right back this is a non story.


I wouldn't even call what he did "defending himself". Against what? A little sting? She wasn't stabbing him.
The big ***** wasn't defending himself, he was retaliating.

Cowboys add Jourdan Lewis, who faces a July jury trial

Michigan cornerback Jourdan Lewis has been drafted in round three, despite a July 10 trial date on misdemeanor charges. That fact that it’s a misdemeanor means he wouldn’t face significant jail time.

Lewis allegedly “dragged [the victim] across the living room floor and then grabbed her by the neck and held her down on the floor for about three seconds.” He has pleaded not guilty.

Lewis faces no discipline from the league, given that the incident happened before the draft

Yeah why not?

The Steelers just drafted a class of quality upstanding individuals. The trouble players may get into after being drafted by the Steelers is not the fault of the Steelers.

The bugles sign or draft players already known to be troublemakers either on or off the field...that is not the Steeler way.

Pac Man, Chris Henry, Jason Shirley, Vontage Burthdefect, come to mind. Now Mixon.

I'm not saying is his right by his actions, but he has a defense in criminal court. You take emotion out of it, and it is an action reaction incident. It wasn't premeditated. She was being verbally aggressive and struck him. He feigned a punch, and did not make contact. She struck him again, and he retaliated.

Now if she sustained serious injury, or had to go the hospital. She has a strong case in civil court to gain financial compensation, since his actions could be viewed causing a serious injury.

As an NFL owner, this video shows me he has trouble controlling his temper, and has the potential to get in trouble with the league in the future, since there is video documentation of him striking a woman. If I owned a team, I would have him as undraftable.

The Cowboys have made these moves all along. They will pick up players of questionable character, to increase the talent on their roster. If they're viewing the video as a criminal action, he has a defense, and they drafted him because of it.

Still doesn't change the fact that he has no defense from being a piece of ****.

this is a lame thread to try and make us feel better about ourselves, for what?? yeah, dude's a scumbag, he's a punk, we all know this, this has been in the news for years now. but lo and behold, the bengals draft him and it's time to whip out our best "posts of indignance". **** just gets old. oh, and the "Steeler way" is complete horseshit, it's not real.

Out of curiosity I read a couple threads over there form guys who were pissed about taking him. Predictably most of the regulars jumped their **** and defended the pick.
 
I think he's already been cleared, hasn't he? Although, that video does not show her assaulting him. She pushed him and he knocked her, he then faked like he was going to punch her and she almost connected with a slap and then he knocked her the **** out.

By your rationale, if a kid slaps you, is it cool to knock him/her the the **** out too? I mean after all, they started it. My 9 year old better look out if she ever shoves me, it'll be a left cross, boom! That'll teach her not to start **** with a grown *** man.

Same thing would happen with fans of whatever team drafted him. Just look at the people here defending him, and we didn't even draft him.
