This game is on Tomlin!!!

Allen should have been doubled all game. Haden should have been on him then have someone shadow underneath. Crossing routes are tough to cover man to man .

Naw, man, that makes too much sense.

Tomlin & Co. thought they'd trick the Chargers and their 15-year veteran quarterback with mostly single inside linebacker coverage on their top target, one of the best WRs in the league.

As an aside, I can't believe I actually made it through this entire thread.

I wouldn't have a problem if a LB is matched on a WR in a short zone area, Like say the LB is there to take away a slant, but a CB would pick him up if he breaks outside or goes deeper. But so many times it looked like the LB was in man coverage on Allen and if it was a zone, it was a pretty big zone.

Mike Hilton is a good slot CB. Why is he not matched on Allen in the slot?

Allen is not a burner. He ran 4.71 at the combine. He's a possession guy and maybe that's why they thought they could get away with the LB. I could buy that if you have Shazier but not Fort, Bostic and Williams.

The only positive of this is that they can't possibly use the same strategy against the Pats, can they? Maybe they can. They seem to do the same stupid thing every time they play the Pats.

They might run the same scheme vs the pats as they did to the chargers lol.
Our coaching staff is very stubborn
