I nominate this for Obvious thread title of the month
The main problem I have is that Tombert has shown virtually no indication that they know their *** from a hole in the ground when it comes to drafting defense.
In other words, if they spend 5 out of 7 draft picks on defensive players and 2 get cut in camp and the other 3 never amount to anything (like Jones and Worilds) I won't be the slightest bit surprised. Not. One. Bit. In fact that's what i'll be expecting.
Tomlin will still be here in another 10 years. The Rooneys will never fire their Rooney Rule hire unless the day comes (like Cowher) where he wants more money than they want to pay. If this draft doesn't produce immediately on defense then Colbert needs to go. Even under normal NFL circumstances, by the time the D is rebuilt Ben will be retired and that window is closed (and we're back to the Steelers of the 80's).I did notice that Colbert and Tomlin's deals are up in 2016. IMO, this is not an accident.
