That somehow the ref's DON'T give the bengals game to the Steelers and Tomlin doesn't have that ******* "non-losing season" crutch anymore.

At this point, I don't want this team to make the playoffs. I don't want to see the embarrassment of them having to play at New England, at Kansas City, at San Diego, at Houston, or at Baltimore. They would be the sixth seed at best and would have no chance against any of those teams. Better to lose out and get the higher draft pick - not that that even matters anymore.

NOTHING will change until the head moron is fired. NOTHING!

Can I hope for Tomlin to have a mental breakdown like Dick Vermeil did and give up coaching. That is NOT dying in a grease fire or having a heart attack. He could have a totally normal life away from this sport. And God knows he has made the money. I just find it so hard. I love this team, but it is getting so hard to watch this stupid **** run this team. And the Steelers blind, retarded loyalty to this man will continue to reduce my own lifespan, so I do feel justified in my hopes.

Hey man, but the organization has only had 3 coaches!!! Isn't that awesome?!?!?

Right about one thing, wrong about what that one thing is:

The one thing is to root Ben leads the league in passing yards......

Not sure Wig how you can be confident losing the rest of the games would bring change.

Rooney's love participation trophy Tomlin.

I don't know what it will take to get rid of Tomlin but what is happening on the field will get rid of BUTLER and unfortunately not all blame should lie onto him. SCAPEGOAT but one problem, THEY will need to hire an outside organization with a complete overhaul of the defense, including position coaches, some personnel / and MOST DEFINITELY SCHEME. SOMEONE strong enough to say during the interview......" is Tomlin in or out on the coaching of the "D"...... If the interviewer gets the answer he wants (CMVLT OUT") then we found our man.

Here is a head coaches list of duties albeit it is simplified:
1. Put the right people on your assistant coaching staff. X
2. Chose the right people on the roster and put them in position to to make the key plays X
3. Prepare the team for the games/ Come up with a suitable game plan exploiting the other teams weaknesses X
4. Make the in game decisions and adjustments. X
5. Keep the team in line and mentally ready/ tough X
Someone oh someone tell me where this man is excelling in any of these. The real question is what do you have to lose by replacing him. Mind numbing losses to 2 win teams. Utter failure in the playoffs. Being owned by the Pats. What is the fear here.

The Steelers could very well lose out.

Is a six-game free fall and a losing record enough? An utter collapse after having a stranglehold on the division at mid-season?

Probably not.

Just for fun, keep in mind that just a few weeks ago the Steelers were the #2 seed.

I also believe they hd over 90% chance to make the playoffs

Paper champions who started buying their press, and a HC who did not have the experience at the time of hire. The same HC whom plateaued years ago, but was an affirmative action hire, so can not be let go. I have said it for YEARS, affirmative action harms more than it has ever helped.

If I look at our roster on defense there are almost no players who would start for the upper echelon teams. Tuitt, Watt. Heyward has stretches. That's it, even Haden has looked pedestrian the last few weeks. To have a HC who has a defensive background be so piss poor at getting them to perform, especially the DB's is ridiculous. I can't root for a loss, it's just not how I'm wired. He's not going anywhere, so if the front office doesn't use some of that cap space for some ready to plug and play veteran defenders this run is over. Ben or no Ben.

There's no way they'll be able to convince a good d coordinator to come work under Captain Dipshit.

For God's sake Mike. You have a gorgeous wife and amazing children. They need you. Go be with them. Your kids are only young once.
He has made enough money. Do the SteelersNation a solid and step down. Go smoke a huge blunt behind the biggest mirror in the house. And unleash hell on every tile or thread of carpet in that room. You will love that flow of a headrushing moment obviously. Don't live in your fears of what retirement will bring. As you can always become the new Berman and cliche a career in broadcasting. They love them some jibber jabber. Or you and Bill Cowher can start a show together. "Spit and lit wit the aftermath" Bill can go over the Nfl weekend outcomes, and Tomlin can just stare, throwing in a few Tomlinisms here and there.

Good morning and welcome to "Spit and lit wit, the aftermath" I am Bill Cowher and I am joined by my near future co-host Mike Tomlin as we break down the latest Steelers postgame breakdown.

Bill Cowher: Welcome MIke any opening statements?

Mike Tomlin:

Bill Cowher: Well then let's get started. Mike on that final raiders drive, why not call some time outs to prevent them from milking the game clock?

Mike Tomlin: Obviously I do not live in my fears that the defense will once again screw us like a two dollar hooker. There was many blades of grass out there, many. Too many.

Cu8AHB7WAAEjPQ1.jpg

Bill Cowher: You should try defending one, obviously. Start with one blade.

Bill Cowher: Anyways next question Mike. Why not put Ben in a few series earlier? Why wait until you are behind in desperation mode?

Mike Tomlin: Well we were in the flow of the game. Flowing right along like Three Rivers, floating right by just like our playoff chances.

Bill Cowher:

Bill Cowher: Mike on defense what is going on with WRs being covered by linebackers. Is it a schematic problem or a play calling problem?

MIke Tomlin:

Bill Cowher: Let's just move on to the pats game. Mike new england is coming off a loss and will be coming to Pittsburgh mad, how do you prepare for that

MIke Tomlin: Nothing will change. We will approach practice like we usually do. Obviously we need better tackling. Wide receivers need to catch the ball.Linebackers need to know the wide receiver is coming their way. And will need to stop that reception somehow someway.

Bill Cowher: Well MIke um thank you for your time, it has been um. It has been.

Be here next week when our guest will be Art Rooney ii,

He will start off the show with:

Art Rooney ii - Mike Tomlin ...that's my coach. That's my head coach. We lost as a team, we lost as a team.

I disagree. We have a roster filled with talent. Some stretches they all play wonderfully. Most times, lately, they play like they've never seen a football.

It's stretches like these that get a coach fired (hello, Mike McCarthy)

Watt is only in his second season, but is our next great LB. I believe that we need to make a youth movement on defense. I'm not of the same mindset as some of you in that Matthew Thomas is the next great thing, as I see him a bit stiff, but I also believe he offers more athletically than Matakevich and Bostic combined. I'd also be more open to playing Ola and pushing Durpee inside. Even Durpee is more athletic than Matakevich and Bostic. Hell, it would get (at the least) our best LBs on the field with Ola, Durpee, Vince and Watt. Of course it all starts up front and we need to stop putting Alualu at NT. For a few plays, sure. But it seemed to me Hargrave was effective
.
As for the DBs ... what a colossal **** show. You know it's bad when we're not only suiting up, but starting Sensabaugh. Burns has pushed himself out of the rotation, and Burnett is proving why the Packers let him go. Haden may look pedestrian at times, but he's our best DB.

Anyone have Davis' whereabouts?

Why was Cook and the other Raiders TEs able to do what they pleased? Wasn't Edmunds brought in to help in the pass defense department?

These guys are talented... they're just not being *to recycle the overused phrase* used properly. We have 45 sacks and just 6 INTs. We are giving up 319 yards per game.
Wasn't Tomlin supposed to be some sort of DB guru? if so, I can't imagine how ****** our DBs would be on other teams.

Not taking the TOs had no effect on the outcome of the game

I am not sure of a outcome with more time on the clock for the Steelers to play with. Perhaps they are closer on a better patch of grass for a FG.Perhaps they score a TD. It can not be excluded out of the realm of possibility.
