Its only week 5 but it definitely feels good to be in the drivers seat and not chasing anyone in the Division for a change. Lets keep it this way.

Given how they're scoring, this team has the goods to go the distance into February.

The key is going to be the health of Heyward and the progress of Burns and Davis in the secondary.

The biggest obstacle in the AFC will be the Patriots.

The Broncos and Ravens will be in contention, but Brady and Roethlisberger separate their teams from the pack.

First Place!!!!

Not only are the Steelers now sitting alone in First Place in the AFC North, but they are also tied for the best record in the AFC with Denver, Oakland, and NE at 4-1.

DEN, OAK and PIT all have yet to lose an AFC game.

Steelers lead the AFC in TDs with 18 as does SD (tied for 2nd in the NFL to ATL with 20)

Steelers lead the AFC in Net Points with 46 (3rd in NFL to PHL with 64 and MIN with 56)

Which means, Cope, that Pittsburgh is tied with Denver and Oakland and the Cheaters are chasing, due to their AFC loss.

This looks like a tough road for the steelers to maintain. Denver is liable to do very well with the rest of their season, the cheats might loose a couple more. I can not take oakland seriously they have found ways to be mediocre for so long there is no reason to think they won't continue. It would be fitting if the cheats lost to cinci and the ravens as well as the steelers this year. Denver seems to have a great advantage at home with out needing to cheat. It would be nice to play the playoffs at home for the steelers and to have a bye to rest up.

The D still needs some work.

But the pieces are in place to do some damage provided the team stays relatively healthy come the last four games of the season.

Injuries have hit this team hard.

But get Dupree,Green, and Gilbert back..... who knows.......

Need those secondary rookies to continue to evolve too.

We need to find a way to get playoff seeding higher than the pats.

Denver's D is for real.
Oakland's O is for real.
NE has Tom and the best system.
Pit has the most dangerous O, and the D is improving.

The AFC will go to one of these teams.

Pit gets to play NE, so playoff seeding is up to us.

Sitting on the top of it all... the 5 - 0 Vikings. Both Pittsburgh and Minnesota had 31 - 13 final scores yesterday. Could these two hook up in Feb?

After week five, Zimmer has a lock on Coach of the Year. What a job he's doing here up north.

The Ravens will NOT be in contention. They have struggled with Jax and Cleveland. They have to play the NFC East remaining 3, Pittsburgh twice, Cincy Twice, and the Pat*s.
