Was a cold Sunday night encounter, the kind of weather a $10 dollar all you can drink tailgate can be appreciated. That'll warm the average beast. I arrived just in time to down the appropriate amount of Jack -N-Cokes. The girl bar-tending that tailgate was heavy on the Jack, god bless her heart. Upon arriving to the stadium.... I was separated from my friends, forgot the clear bag policy you had to enter a particular line. Far right for those going to future games. But got to the seats about 15 minutes before kickoff. Good timing and between the liquor and walking 5 ramps up, I was plenty toasty. Good amount of Green Bay fans in attendance, they show well. Had me thinking that was the only other fan base that showed as well as us. All seemed to be on good behavior. There was one fan who kept yelling, "go Pack go". And at the end of the game a Steelers fan was saying, "where is that go Pack go chant now"?I replied loudly, oh it's there it is been replaced with, "go Pack go, as in go home with a loss". I was teaching some of the younger fans my chew tobacco, chew tobacco spit spit spit, if you ain't a Steelers fan you ain't ****, chant. Brought pleasant thoughts to hear a group of females yell that out. Yes leaving...walking down that ramp at the end of the game, like a sardine shifting thru a can. listening to that.. damn what a good evening. On a night that was filled with it's ups and downs. Thing is, it finished with a up and the end -Linkin Park- that's all that matters. Hands must have been cold, as the offensive unit were dropping a decent amount of balls. And those turnovers sure helped Green Bay's cause throughout the game. But have to give Green Bay some credit too, they came to play. I saw some resilience with this Steelers team. Despite their pitfalls that O just kept pushing to victory. A game I thought would end in overtime the way it was playing out. Our lovely kicker, who missed a extra point to kick off the night, ended the game with a 53 yard bang. Heyward had himself another solid night. clearly the D MVP. And I thought Martavis play sparked with desire, motivation, and drive. He is slowly coming back as a significant piece to the B-trifecta. But damn we clearly missed Juju, as Eli was looking painful out there. Overall the killer B's represented well. A few drops and a fumble and a few INTs, stood in the way of it being a A+ night. On D overall not the units best performance. That will need to be cleaned up some. Burns continues to look like the weak link,
but a win is a win is a win is a win.
