I've got to get this off my chest.

Where the **** was Ross Cockrell in the first half?? Why was Blake on the field? Whose responsibility is this? Why are there no good answers to these questions we have been asking all year?

It seems so obvious to anyone with half a brain that the best combo of CBs on this team as it is currently constructed is Gay, Boykin, and Cockrell. So every single week we have to endure Antwon ******* Blake and watch the D struggle because of his ineptness. I mean, it was like they were thumbing their noses at us this week! Blake stayed out there for the entire first half and Cockrell stood on the sidelines and never saw the field! After last week! After sitting Blake in the 2nd half resulted in giving up no points!

I just can't explain it. How do these people keep their jobs? If I performed like this at my job, I would be fired.

I'm more confused with the fact we play soft zone again and again and again with the same horrible results week in and week out. Teams know this and play pitch and catch until we change it up. Personal is an after thought compared to that......in my opinion anyways.

I'm going to take a guess that maybe Blake is buddy buddy with Tomlin. Otherwise Boykin would be in. Or maybe Boykin did something that pissed off the coaches. Who knows?

Blow the whole thing up. Part of it has to do with scheme but most of it has to do with talent.

Yet this team will not sign even a mid tier CB FA. Mind boggling.

Well I do believe Boykin is getting way more snaps than Blake has over the past month.

Yes, the secondary is atrocious but I cannot talk about terrible without bringing up our pass rush. That was pathetic all game long besides one sack by a CB.

Our LBs are not very good, Timmons is the best and he's lacking at times. Shazier can't stop the run to save his life.

It's iffy
I think talent can mask some strategy issues vice versa. If Blake was a starter eight years ago his play would not look so bad cause he'd have a Ryan Clark/Polamalu to bail him out. There is no talent behind him to mask that. I think Boykin would be the better cover guy and at least shower minimal improvement compared to Blake

Well, at least he is solid defending the pass. Oh wait...

Maybe Blake isn't suited for man coverage. If this is the case than get him off the field. But this soft zone we keep throwing out there needs to stop.

Blake isnt suited for man coverage at all. Too small compared to most receivers to challange them. He is physically getting abused out there

Meant *show improvement last post btw :p

Boykin was on the field. I'm not complaining about that for a change. But any smart coach or QB is going to go after the weakest part of your team, and when Blake is on the field, he is that part. He should only be playing if there are no other options.

Blake isn't suited for coverage. Period.
