The San Diego Clock operator screwed up again...

Here's an article about Tomlin using the term Mattress to go for it like a Mafia Boss, but that's not what I found interesting.

This link also has the best replay of the Bell TD and in the first 8 sec of the video, not only is Bell Clearly down with 2sec remaining, but you can also clearly hear a whistle stopping play as the clock ticks from 2 to 1 sec.

Rest easy timing theorists as the clock would have been reviewable (being the last play of the game). If Bell was stopped short, we would have been granted at least 1 extra second to run another play. The odd thing is, why would the home clock operator allow time to elapse. At 2-1 sec left, SD would have had a chance to return the kick, giving them a chance to win the game. Odd...

Yeah, I watched this 5-6 times and the play is clearly dead at 2 going into 1. Not sure why they didn't put at least 1 second back on the clock
