The run Game looked Better

I didn’t quite see that play the same way
Guess I’ll have to rewatch, but his momentum didn’t seem to just let him “Square up” conventionally from where the ball was placed from what I remember

I didn’t really take him as “hot dogging” anything there…definitely could refine his route running abilities but he is rookie in his 3rd game that just got his 10th target so there’s that too
I didn't see that either.

His route running obviously needs work as does his effort on routes. Maybe it's just a long stride, but there are times he looks like he's jogging out there and waits to turn on the speed after the throw. I like the confidence and want the QB to give him a chance to prove it. Like all receivers, he has that diva attitude as well.

That is his style and why he’s always open

It gives him a gigantic catch radius and he bodies well to shield out the defender, can’t really do that in his top gear though

Once Mitch realizes he is always open because of this ability hopefully he’ll start slinging it his way some more, been watching it his whole career

He’d be special if we had a QB and OC with some common sense and guts

So naturally Canada calls Pickens on 12- and 8-yard stick routes. also wheel routes.:horn:

With Jaylen Warren. That guy looks like a Steeler RB. The fumble wasn't great, but this kid has earned more touches. The last play that was called back for a penalty was damn impressive, he just has "the Look" when he runs.
I doubt the coaches are smart enough to realize after a start that should be 0-3 the backup QB and RB should get a shot, they very well could be big upgrades.
This a guy who's analysis is spotty and i think, below average to a professional but his video here teaches alot.

Notice, the running game sucks *** when the call is gap-assigned a trap, off-guard lead, a delay. Najee gets stuffed quickly. The lineman eventually engage (at weird angles) and just cannot drive nor can they seal very well.

Then notice all the running plays where the lineman get up, run and pull toward the boundary, Najee has at least some room to run and picks up a few yards on off-tackle slant handoffs, stretch plays.
