We really need to listen to this message as an organization.

Jesse James: Steelers were like the Kardashians of the NFL

Tight end Jesse James naturally did not like how the season went for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And he called his team out on Monday, making a rather sharp comparison.

James, who is set to become a free agent, likened his team to the Kardashian family.

“Ah man, we are — Kardashians. We have, I mean, we’re something,” James said, per Jacob Klinger of Pennlive.com. “It’s Le’Veon Bell issues, you have more stuff popping up weekly, Jeremy Fowler’s reporting stuff about Le’Veon every other week. There’s just people calling people out. … We were in the front of the ticker on ESPN too much for just reasons that weren’t related to football and not for us playing great ball. It was more distractions.”

Quite frankly, James is not wrong. The issues with Bell were front and center for a good part of the season. But the team's issues weren’t limited to the holdout running back.

Star receiver Antonio Brown didn’t play in Week 17’s must-win game against the Cincinnati Bengals. It was revealed on Monday that he had skipped a practice and had a dispute with a teammate, which led to the benching.

Additional drama came from QB Ben Roethlisberger. While he had a good season, Roethlisberger did make some critical mistakes. He wasn’t bashful about throwing teammates under the bus, either.

All things considered, it’s not surprising that Pittsburgh missed the playoffs this season. Come 2019, this will be something the Steelers will need to get in check in a big way.

Some of that is the writers opinion, which I don't necessarily agree with.

Crap...that is a good analogy. The old timers probably remember this but we had a deep hatred of the Cowboys because of all the **** they pulled off (and sometimes on) the field. We have become what we once mocked. One of these days maybe we can get back to staying out of the headlines unless it involves winning games, handing the ball to the ref after scoring a TD and quit with the mic-drop BS after getting a 1st down. Again just hand the ball to the ref, get back in the huddle and get ready for the next play. F@#$ we need an old school coach like Noll, Lombardi or 1985 Ditka to teach these guys what its like to win games. In my opinion anyways..

Uh... When did Ben throw a teammate under the bus?

The only time I can remember where he was moderately harsh on a teammate was when he said that Washington HAS to make 'those' plays. The thing where he said he wanted AB to run a flatter route wasn't a criticism, he was just saying that AB running a bit more of a deep route lead to him (Ben) making a mistake because it allowed the linebacker to jump back into the route.

That's absolutely the closest I can remember Ben throwing anybody 'under the bus'.

When did Ben throw anyone under the bus? He said Washington needs to make that catch when he's wide open.
That's throwing a teammate under the bus now????
It's funny there's games where after the game players say we can't turn the ball over, but they are never referred to as throwing Ben understand the bus.

Washington has seemed to stand up and take notice after that and his benching. AB wasn't an instant success his first year so hopefully that "tough love" was enough to get the kid to start taking off the blinders. I would not be surprised to see him start playing a little more like an AB next year. Hope so anyway.

Anyone see Bud Dupree react at the Browns loss? He was the angriest person in the stadium and it looked flat out ridiculous. Here's a guy who sure likes to talk without producing.

Truth Jesse James, truth.

He's absolutely right, but watch cool shades orchestrate cutting ties with him because of "standards" while others get away for **** 1000 times worse

Calling Art Rooney II...wake up...you know what needs to be done

Now Ben gets blamed for the silly selfish attitude by Brown. Brown is a great receiver when he wants to be but we all saw this coming when many fans were turning to JU JU s a favorite. WE saw Brown's actions on the sidelines, his hiding his lips on something he was voices his displeasure on. Just goes back to his facebook time in the locker room and Tomlin was going to take care of it, here again the word is all over the place about Brown. Brown not showing up is the third time leaving dating back to train camp, shows up and thinks he is going to play Sunday. Obvious Tomlin did not get the message across and we as fans have said numerous times Tomlin has no control and demands no discipline from his locker room. When a TE that has been in the dog house of Tomlin's few speaks out this is not all rumor. I listened to the radio broadcast of the Steelers and was obvious the announcers saw nothing but a lack luster performance till late in the game from the Steeler players. Now we all know why

Good point apex, clearly there is lack of fear or respect of Tomlin and the organization if a guy like James who has been in the doghouse and could easily be cast aside next year and maybe even out of the league calls the team out on the 1st day of the offseason.

If all this turns out to be true, then maybe it is time to blow this team up. I love watching Antonio Brown play football, just like I loved watching LeVeon Bell playing football. I am well over LB and his antics and I sure as hell do not want a repeat with AB. This is akin to watching a NASCAR race and waiting for the 14 car pileup that is eventually going to happen.

Change the head coach and they will all fall in line, well except Bell..
maybe Bell and Tomlin can make up over some lap dances in Miami this winter

Yeah, but his quote was something along the lines of “it doesn’t matter what happens here or anywhere else; we put ourselves in this position, and have nobody to blame but ourselves.” He also said that he didn’t care what happened in any of the games or something. I dunno.

LB Bud Dupree spoke candidly about Steelers' issues:

"We have to be brothers on the field and off the field."

"There’s nothing else to work hard for -- it’s not individuals, it’s not accoldates, it’s to win the SB"

“We’ve got to stop losing paying down to teams’ level."

Last year it was Dupree going off on Harrison. This year he talked about Mahomes:

"I don't think we gave him enough credit. I think he was better than we thought," Dupree said, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "I feel like his intelligence was better than we thought. We thought since he was a young quarterback we could trick him, but he kind of spread us out. He didn't snap the ball fast so he was really trying to read us, seeing where the weaknesses were before he snapped the ball. Many young quarterbacks can't really check like that. He showed us otherwise."

Tomlin runs a tight ship. What an embarrassment that he survived the day. No balls Rooney.

It's not like today is a deadline to fire coaches. It can happen anytime. That being said, Tomlin is going nowhere.

The facebook live thing speaks volumes. Ben told him to cut it out and that coach was speaking. AB had his masses around him and ignored Ben.
