I'm not one to blame the officiating on costing us the game. Granted, it actually did cost us the game tonight on the TD catch to Jesse.
Patriots got away with at least two PIs on Martavis and Eli, pretty blatant holding. Hell, Martavis's arm was being and he still caught it.. no flag.
Besides those, they got away with two taunting penalties. One, was when their RB got a 8 yard gain and got up in Burn's(I think it was him) face and flexed for a couple seconds. The other was on the Gronk 2pt conversion. He caught the ball, looked down at Sean Davis and pointed at him and laughed.
No, these aren't egregious but damnit, I've seen Steelers players get called for the same thing for much less.

P.S. I better not hear **** about how Bellichick is a genius this week on sports radio and everywhere. He did nothing special tonight to get them the win except for having the officials in his pocket.

How about when the dude threw the ball right at the cameraman? I mean, officials aren't allowed to be touched, so why would a fucjing cameraman who's trying to do his job be allowed to have a football thrown at him? True, none of them are major indiscretions, but this team gets away with **** all the time. There was another instance on the play before Villanueva's hold, I believe, that either rogers or Conner was on the receiving end of a knee to the back while sitting on the ground. Incredible how it was missed. Or the douchebag **** defensive back slamming down one of our receivers the same damn way Davis did last week when the play was dead. Funny how they don't get called for those. Hate to be this way, I really do. But it is a God damn shame.

The P*ts were NOT going to be allowed to lose this game unless the Steelers played so far beyond perfect it was impossible to fix it. As it was, a couple PI calls here, a holding call there, and NO CALLS whatsoever on the cheaters and you have a winner.

This is the game I have to say I truly believe the outcome was completely determined before the game ever started. And I base that entirely on the 2 penalties, the ridiculous overturn without sufficient evidence, and the refusal to call PI in the endzone on two of the Steeler TDs. The referees were NOT going to allow the Steelers to win this game.

No way, no how.

If they'd kicked and gone to overtime the P*ts would have been given every call they needed. I have NO doubt about that whatsoever.

You want to beat the Pats, you have to break Brady in half.

For a penalty happy crew to lack on calling the Pats for next to nothing says it all. Probably called a few to cover for their true intentions. Seriously this should be investigated.

I like the non-call on roughing Ben.

NLF is fixed

Nastrodomous or not, I knew it would come down to officiating. I just felt being a late game and all eyes on it that maybe, just maybe we would get a legitimate officiated game.......... BOY was I wrong.

Salute the nation

It'll be swept under sadly

Year after year there is only one thing for certain ion the nfl...................................BROOMS have a future

Meh... if we don't go into a shell or play zone on D i like our chances with a healthy team even if the refs put the whistles away

I don't ***** about the officiating. It didn't cost us the game. Still had 2 plays, and would have kicked a FG for OT if Ben did't throw the INT.

Nobody to blame but ourselves for that one...

It influenced the game that is enough. A no call on Eli and Bryant being held, and a crew that was controversial, being picked to ref the game.

That is what they want us to believe that a error caused the loss. But that INT should have been overturned due to holding. That was a catch that would have sealed the game.

Two measly pats penalties the whole game, really? really? bull ******* ****

Sorry that game was 100% fixed.

I don't feel the same way, and living in Baltimore, all I hear is that fanbase ***** and moan about officiating deciding the outcome. They've never lost a game, it's all the officials for that fan base. They live for a flag, and don't make enough plays.

Bengals fans were screaming about the same crap 3 weeks ago.

I watched a great game with 2 HOF QBs going punch for punch. I'm sure as hell don't like the outcome, but I thought it was a great game.

If there was a game that allowed for blaming the officiating.. this is it.
Patriots are always favored in the penalties category. They've had multiple games with 1 or less, they somehow play perfect football. I'm shocked they even called a penalty on Gronk for elbowing that dude in the back of the head.

I'm not buying that at all.

If James holds onto the ball, it's a touchdown - the replays confirm it - and Steelers likely win.

You will never convince me there is not a plan in place for each and every game result

It is different than the scenario you gave. Why? you have to go back decades to see a lopsided penalty called game like we saw. If it wasn't so ******* lopsided I would say nothing. But it clearly was, clearly.

It was a great game heavily ref influenced. And that is a fact.

this was obviously not a hold

What's wrong with that? He's just choking him.. no biggie.

refs didn't influence the outcome honest

It it it was Ben

no it it it was Gronk

no it it as Eli for allowing himself to be held in the end zone from behind

no it it it was Jesse for seeing that he had a opportunity to extend out and get a TD after his knee was ******* down.

those Steelers just didn't ******* do enough to win.
