The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

Given that much of the Western world, including most of its art, culture, economics, religion and politics have been heavily inflluenced by liberal thoughts & concepts, when you write 'liberalism is a mental disease' it gives me pause and a healthy amount of consternation. Sure we can go back and forth on current political issues, but if you truly believe that, the intellectual and cultural gulf between us is much wider than you may anticipate.
Holy ****. How delusional. You clowns are nowhere close to classic liberalism.

I'll play....Answers in red
Don't agree on the particulars of most of what you write, but thank you for the measured, articulate response. That's the beauty of opinions, particularly on political matters, is we all get to have them, however diverse and different as they may be.

As you prove time and time again, you're one of the good ones, Sarge.

Really? All I do is post memes and videos? Not sure what qualified you to become a mod besides some hush-hush agreement to look the other way, but that's no business of mine. Over the years I've probably typed out more posts and responses than 90% of the members on this board. A whole lot of respect that's gotten me. Evidently 15+ years means jack ****, here and on the old Steelerwatch board.

And you're gonna take pot shots at me? Because I'm a liberal, a progressive? Understood. Anyone who opposes Trump is fair game. Open season, here at SN.

Potshots? You open yourself up to them. When I see BS, I call it out, regardless of who. That being said- i don't always see a bunch of posts- you know, there's that thing called WORK that gets in the way....don't always have access to the site all day long. Same goes at night- I am hardly ever home. When I DO get to log on, the first few posts I see in any of the PR forum are yours. I don't have time to scroll through every page from when I last logged on, so yes, I do miss some things. I don't have to justify my actions (or lack thereof) to you.

Just step back and maybe, just maybe.....breathe, think, breathe again, and THEN post....you might not appear as unhinged as you do. You are SN's version of George Takei. He used to be funny and used to make me laough on FB and Twitter. But now that Trump is in office, he does nothing but post Anti-Trump stuff. It looks desperate and certainly isn't funny anymore.

One thing I will say......I think far too many people spend far too much time having inconsequential arguments about things that are out of their control, and no one here is going to change anyone's mind about anything they already believe.

What do you think these forums are for?

I would have guessed adult discussion of political topics, but that is surely incorrect.
Your inconsequential adult discussions about things that are out of your control are a beacon of sanity in this disgusting free for all.

Maybe someone would start individual threads with single topic discussions that don't devolve into personal mud-slinging.
Simple debates on economics, politics, security, social issues, governmental reform, etc. might be instructive...

LOL...never say die huh Tibsy. Liberal influence indeed, jus 'cause they name a course "liberal arts" doesn't put the liberal professor's in charge of education and jus 'cause all the Hollyweird elite give themselves trophys, doesn't put them in charge of culture. Jus because the media has sold out to the highest bidder doesn't make them believable and jus ''cause the Pope is communist, doesn't make the rest of religion irrelevant.

Maybe Liberals do influence more than they should be by parading sheer numbers but that doesn't put them in a position of being right about anything, just more obnoxious and demanding to be ignored.

Truth is...

Says one of the most prolific and persistent mud-slingers on the board. Damn, that’s rich. smh

Capitol Hill -- Majority leader House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and minority capo Senator Chuck Schumer announced that Thanksgiving Day shall be cancelled immediately. Schumer said it is a bourgeois invention not befitting a future, socialist America that was first discovered not by Columbus, but by a visionary progenitor of Karl Marx who wanted social justice and equality between Americans who were native to the Mongolian plains, and Americans who were native to Brooklyn and Cleveland.

Pelosi added, that besides the unfairness between the wealthy, producing nations, and the Third World that never produced anything but children and dependency, is the inequality between turkey and man.

"The murder of turkeys has to end," she said, winking at the representative from Planned Parenthood, "and so does Thanksgiving which is un-American."

Sing along time. It's a catchy tune, but you've really gotta carry that last note:

Tiiiiiiiibs is suuuuuuch a piece of shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

Yeah, being the son of a Protestant minister who grew up in the church, I did notice that as I was watching the funeral service online. So yes, that pissed me off, along with his otherwise childish behavior. If it wasn't for all the evangelical support and Trump's own proclamations of faith, I wouldn't give two ***** if he recited the Apostles' Creed or not. It was strange and unexpected, that out of the Carters, the Clintons, the Obamas and an entire congregation it was Trump & Melania who stood solemnly, arms to their sides, almost as if they held out in protest. Bizarre, given Trump's Presbyterian, supposedly. He would be more than familiar with this type of communal prayer during a church service or a funeral.

But at the end of the day, that didn't take away from a beautiful and touching ceremony remembering President George HW Bush.

You know what? **** you. How's that for psychiatric help? You guys sure have thin skin around here. You love to dole out abuse and attack all the 'libtards' - the whole two or three of them - but break into tiny pieces like china dolls when someone dares criticize your beloved Trump. Precious and fragile like a china doll, that describes most if not all Trump supporters who post here. Handle with care, they're sensitive souls who can't stand a sliver of criticism. Eerily, just like the big boss, TV reality show producer, hotel magnate, avid golfer, bankrupter-at-large, the one and only slick Donny Trump.

Well, I'm glad you found some fuel for your never-ending rage against Trump. You were starting to tire out there.

And, you're correct, what Donald and Melania did did not take away anything from the funeral. It's what you ******* on the Left became unhinged about that did. The Bush family said they did not want this to become a Hate Trump affair, with the bashing. Yet you ******* just can't keep from it. Watch the video again. The Trumps were not the only ones not saying the Apostles' Creed. Not at all. Yet they are the ones who made you soil yourself.

As far as being "sensitive souls who can't stand a sliver of criticism" - if you call what you've done on the daily for two years now a "sliver of criticism", holy **** have you lost your mind.

Low Energy Jeb:

Jeb Bush praised President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump’s “gracious” demeanor and said the sitting president could not have been nicer at his father ex-President George H.W. Bush’s funeral on Wednesday.

The late president’s second son told The Wall Street Journal the Trumps were “really gracious” and that President Trump “couldn’t have been nicer” when he called to pay his respects to the 41st president, who died last Friday.

Pretty much every thing POS Tibs says is the exact opposite of truth, reality and reason.

1. Do you think the Mueller special counsel investigation is legitimate?
I'm not convinced of that as of yet. I think for the amount of money being spent, very little is going to be gained for either side.

2. Do you support women's right of choice regarding abortion, ie Roe vs. Wade?
It's against my beliefs and sickens me but, it's not my decision to make. So I unhappily, support a woman's right to choose. In other words, do what you want. I don't have to be happy about it. Just like gay marriage. I support that but, You won't find me at any pep rallies in support of it.

3. Do you agree the Iraqi war was a mistake, that Bush was overly hasty in attacking Iraq after 9-11? When in fact it was Bin Laden and Al Queda who attacked us?
With the utmost respect to those that served and sacrificed, Yes. It seemed like an excuse to put in motion, a plan that had been in the works long before 9-11

4. Do you support some - even relatively limited - provisions on gun laws? In other words, within the framework of the Constitution and the 2nd amendment, is there room to limit modern, rapid-fire weapons, high capacity magazines or is the 2nd amendment a blank check till the end of time, that gun ownership can never be infringed upon, never ever? I support the 2nd. And never could see how any more laws than there already are could have stopped all the shootings

5. Do you generally support NATO and the Western Alliance? Is it important to you the US holds a trusted, leadership role in world affairs? Yes and yes.

6. Is the national debt any of concern to you?
I don't walk around worrying about it but, yeah I would like it to be brought under control but, I don't think any pol has a plan for that. Just ***** about it and keep on doing business as usual.

8. Do you believe the Obama birhter conspiracy, that he's not a legitimate US citizen? Do you think Obama is a Muslim?
I believe he probably is a US citizen. I don't know if he is a muslim but I do believe he was raised around muslim influences

10. Do you consider yourself a xenophope? Does xenophobia - the strange instict to immediately be dismissive and suspicious of unfamiliar cultures and people - trouble you? Do you consider yourself to be open-minded and engaging towards strangers from other countries, different faiths and cultural backgrounds? I am suspicious of any group of people I don't know because.......I don't know them. however, I've met culturally different people and it was always a pleasant experience

11. Do you think America's strength is the sum of it's parts, the rich, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic mix of it's population? I don't think multi- ethnic/culture makes us strong or weak. Multi- ethnic/culture isn't the problem. When immigrants came here long ago, they wanted to be Americans. They worked to assimilate. Now, it seems they have no intention of assimilating.

12. Do pro-Trump posters on this board make your skin crawl on occasion? Or is it just me.
Not just pro-Trump posters....There are all types of posters that shock me at times with what they post.

Yeah baby

He can't possibly be worse than Rip Van Sleepy(Sessions)

Approve!

I'm totally straight but would hit Heather Nauert 6 ways to Sunday....

If Trump really wants to win, he should add Dick Cheney to quarterback how to handle various things behind the scenes. Cheney is old and frail, however he'll do it if asked. When you get old, the best way to live longer is to be active.

Thoughts?

120 injured, nearly 1,000 arrested in France 'yellow vest' protests

Over 125,000 people have joined "yellow vest" anti-government protests across France today, in which more than 120 people were injured and almost 1,000 people arrested.

Police used tear gas, a water cannon and horses to charge protesters on roads fanning out from the Champs Elysees boulevard, but encountered less violence than a week ago, when the capital witnessed its worst unrest since the 1968 student riots.

Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said there had been about 10,000 protesters in Paris by early evening and some 125,000 across the country. He said about 120 demonstrators and nearly 20 police officers had been injured nationwide.

Nearly 1,000 people had been arrested, 620 of them in Paris, after police found potential weapons such as hammers and baseball bats on them.

70 arrested in Brussels during 'yellow vest' protest

The "yellow vest" movement in France originally started as a protest about planned fuel hikes but has morphed into a mass protest against President Emmanuel Macron's policies and top-down style of governing.

It has spilled over to some other countries, including Belgium and especially in the country's French-speaking region.
