"ARE YOU A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES AND ELIGIBLE TO VOTE?"
After realizing that former President Barack Obama installed a loophole when he first took office that allowed liberal states to shield millions of illegal immigrants to reshape state Legislatures for Democrats, President Donald Trump is making a big change.
Democrats fear that the Trump administration’s plan to reinstate citizenship questions on the 2020 U.S. Census will cost them a seat in California and billions in funding from the federal government.
With their decision to officially become a Sanctuary State, Californian is shielding roughly 2.3 million illegal immigrants, and the Trump administration is looking to tackle that issue aggressively.
In 1911, the number of U.S. House of Representative seats was permanently set at 435, meaning all 50 states have at least one Representative. Other Representatives are allocated based on population figures determined by the U.S. Census every ten years.
The Trump administration is breaking up the liberal strongholds protected by Obama.
Last month, the Department of Justice sent a letter to the Census Bureau asking that citizenship questions eliminated in 2010 under Obama be reinstated for the 2020 Census.
“This data is critical to the Department’s enforcement of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act and its important protections against racial discrimination in voting,” DOJ General Counsel Arthur E. Gary wrote.”To fully enforce those requirements, the Department needs a reliable calculation of the citizen voting-age population in localities where voting rights violations are alleged or suspected.”
The DOJ argues the Census Bureau’s “rolling and aggregated into one-year, three-year, and five-year estimates” is harmful because it doesn’t reflect the true “citizen voting age population” in the year 2020.
By including the question on whether an immigrant is in the U.S. legally or illegally, the Trump administration will be able to not only hand that information over to federal agencies, but it will greatly reduce the populations in left-leaning districts in blue states.
Many top Democrats are freaking out about this, including California Democrat Gov. Jerry Brown as he prepares for the likelihood that California could have a Republican in the Legislature for the first time in state history.
This will dramatically reshape California – and other state’s – left-leaning control in state Legislatures.

On Wednesday, Brown proposed allocating more than $40 million from the state’s own census-related outreach programs to ensure they don’t lose a seat.
California Secretary of State Alex Padilla said the Trump administration’s goal of adding whether immigrants are in the country legally or illegally could have “devastating effects” on the state.
“The citizenship question is just the latest red flag — maybe one of the biggest — but just the latest red flag,” Padilla said.
If the Trump administration includes these major questions in the 2020 consensus, Republicans will likely pick up at least one seat in North Carolina, Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Montana, New York, Illinois, Texas, and West Virginia.
Democrats are very, very worried about this – and they should be given it could destroy many liberal strongholds in state’s Legislatures that were protected by Obama for eight years.
That's if the person answering the questions is telling the truth but there is no guarantee that they are.

Al Gore did something he, admittedly, rarely does and defended a recent Trump administration decision to impose tariffs on solar cells and modules.
“I don’t typically defend him,” Gore said during a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
President Donald Trump announced on Monday a 30 percent tariff on imported cells and modules used to make solar panels that would decrease over time. The solar industry largely opposed the move.
The White House approved tariffs lower than the 35 percent tariff recommended by the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) in 2017. The ITC took up the tariff issue based on complaints filed by two solar panel manufacturers, Suniva and SolarWorld.The now bankrupt Sunia is Chinese-owned and SolarWorld is German-owned, though both have manufacturing operations in the U.S. and have been complaining for years about cheap Chinese solar imports.
While Gore did not agree with the tariffs, he did admit that generous Chinese solar panel subsidies have forced U.S. business to go under.

While doubling of the standard deductible is true, i believe it removed something that was close to $4k. So, while technically true, the total change is from about $10k to $12k, not $6k to $12k
