We should drill off the coast of Cuba. They can't do anything about it.

President Trump signed a bill aboard Air Force One Monday upgrading the birthplace of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to a national historic park.
Trump signed the bill into law on Air Force One while in Atlanta, Georgia, alongside Dr. King’s niece, Alveda King, and the civil rights leader’s nephew, Isaac Newton Farris Jr., according to a statement from the White House.

The law would expand the boundaries of Dr. King’s birthplace in Georgia to make it a national historic park, allowing the National Park Service to preserve a greater area of land.

The new boundaries of the area would include the Prince Hall Masonic Temple, which used to be the headquarters of Dr. King’s historic civil rights organization, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

He's so racist!

5 Mexican states get US 'do not travel' warning:

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Five states in Mexico have gotten the sternest "do not travel" advisories under a revamped U.S. State Department system unveiled Wednesday.

The five include the northern border state of Tamaulipas and the Pacific coast states of Sinaloa, Colima, Michoacan and Guerrero.

The State Department had previously discouraged travel to all or part of the five states' territories but the new warnings are sterner, placing the drug- and crime-plagued states on the same level warning level as Somalia, Yemen, Syria or Afghanistan.

I. C. E. hit 100 7-11 stores this morning

Immigration agents raid dozens of 7-Elevens as Trump administration moves to crack down on businesses with undocumented workers

The pre-dawn sweep by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents comprised about 100 convenience stores across the United States. Nearly two dozen people were arrested on suspicion of being in the country illegally, though officials said the audits are intended to target managerial hiring practices.

Such operations are a growing priority for the Trump administration and will be carried out more frequently, investigating companies large and small, officials said.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is boosting its starting hourly wage to $11 and delivering bonuses to employees, capitalizing on the U.S. tax overhaul to stay competitive in a tightening labor market.

“Tax reform gives us the opportunity to be more competitive globally and to accelerate plans for the U.S.,” Chief Executive Officer Doug McMillon said in the statement.

They also just closed a bunch of Sams’ clubs with no notice including the one near me. Even restocked the shelves last night then this morning told the employees we are closed permanently. That is ****** way to do it.

Really, they locked the doors? I would at least sell the existing inventory first. Costco has better food. There's a Sam's by my office but I go to Costco a couple miles away instead.

Walmart is closing 63 Sam's Club stores across the US, the company told Business Insider.

Several stores were abruptly closed Thursday. In some cases, employees were not informed of the closures prior to showing up to work on Thursday.

Instead, they learned that their store would be closing when they found the store's doors locked and a notice announcing the closure, according to reports.

Ten of the affected stores will be turned into ecommerce distribution centers, and employees of those stores will have the opportunity to reapply for positions at those locations, a Walmart official said.

The remaining stores will stay open for several weeks before closing permanently.

Sam's Club offered an explanation for the closures on Twitter, saying, "After a thorough review of our existing portfolio, we’ve decided to close a series of clubs and better align our locations with our strategy. Closing clubs is never easy and we’re committed to working with impacted members and associates through this transition."

The closures come on the same day that Walmart announced it was raising starting hourly wages to $11, expanding employee benefits, and offering workers bonuses of up to $1,000.

Here's a list of closures rounded up from local media reports and Sam's Club employees that contacted Business Insider. The list will be updated as we learn of additional locations.

We went to both for different things. I can still go to the other one which is the same distance away and interestingly shares a parking lot with Costco.

US deploys B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, 200 airmen to Guam

5a573b50fc7e930b558b4567.JPG

What The B-2's Arrival In Guam Means For North Korea

In August of 2016, B-1B bombers arrived at Andersen Air Force base on Guam to fulfill U.S. Pacific Command's continuous bomber assurance and deterrence mission. It was the first time the "Bone" had taken up station on Guam in over a decade, as the jets had spent years becoming the heavy-hitting all stars of America's air campaigns in the Middle East. Since then the B-52H has taken the B-1B's place in that troubled region, meanwhile a handful of B-1Bs have prowled around eastern Asia for a year and half, most famously flying near constant "show of force" missions near North Korean borders.

Now a trio of B-2As and 200 airmen to support them have arrived on Guam to augment, or even possibly relieve the B-1s deployed there. But the bat-winged bomber's presence there, or even a changing of the guard, isn't just about swapping one bomber out for another or adding more blunt firepower to the region. The B-2 brings highly unique capabilities to the theatre, ones that would be absolutely essential if the U.S. were to go after Kim Jong Un's regime, or even move to attack a far more limited target set in North Korea.

Primarily the B-2 brings an American airborne strategic nuclear strike capability back to the region—the B-1B's ability to employ nuclear weapons having been stripped from the type's mission set decades ago. But beyond that and the B-2's famed ability to penetrate deep into hostile territory undetected to drop as many as 80 independently guided weapons on a single run, the stealth bomber also brings the ability to attack with the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP).

"The 40,000lb super-bunker buster will be absolutely essential for any major air war aimed at wiping out North Korea's nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs, as well as for destroying key regime targets, many of which are buried under mountains. Short of nuclear weapons, no other penetrating munition on earth stands a chance at destroying these targets, with temporarily sealing their entrances being the only other possibly feasible option short of a commando raid."

I'm surprised they are closing the Sams in Fairbanks. That is the only Sams in the interior, and was always busy. Buying in bulk and storing it all up for the winter so they don't have to go out shopping in the ****** weather. My guess is that it cost too much to ship everything to Alaska. Sad thing is that Fairbanks does NOT have a Costco. The closest one is in Anchorage.

Fricken eskimos need to suck it up. Do more ice fishing.
