U.S. oil production capacity approaches 10M barrels per day
The U.S. oil production in October was over 298 million barrels, or 25 million barrels more than that in January. And its production capability was over 9.6 million barrels a day, or 9.2 percent higher than January. "U.S. crude oil production in October rose to the highest in more than 46 years and the production is expected to continue rising in 2018"
"The advent of technological improvements in horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing together with other technology advancements have led to the shale energy revolution in the USA which will shift the tectonic plates of global powers and geopolitics"

CNN Panel Rings in New Year By Laughing at Democrats' Messaging
Former interim DNC chair Donna Brazile dished on the Democrats' disorganization during a book event in Washington, D.C. last month. For an hour, she described the DNC's inability to patrol its funds and its catering to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.
It's that last sticking point that has stopped small donors from giving the DNC one penny, Wall Street Journal's Julie Bykowicz mused during the panel discussion. They feel like the committee "forced" Clinton on them, without even considering giving Bernie Sanders a fair shot at the nomination.
As for big donors like Tom Steyer, they are too busy spending their money on farfetched impeachment efforts against President Trump.
"It's a tough year for the Democratic Party to try and rebrand itself and market itself in a way that is attractive to small donors and big donors alike," she said.
In July, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer tried to get some momentum going by claiming Trump had turned his back on the working people and that the Democrats were going “to fill the vacuum.”
“How is that going?” Henderson asked her panel, chuckling.
The Democrats “have not articulated their rationale for being put back into power” other than that they would stop Trump

Southwest and American Airlines announced Tuesday evening that they will be giving employees a $1,000 bonus as a result of the GOP tax bill.
American Airlines plans to cough up roughly $130 million in bonuses in the first quarter of 2018 to each team member at its mainline and many of its regional locations, Reuters reports. Southwest said, in addition to bonuses, it is increasing investments and has already donated $5 million to charity.
President Donald Trump signed the most significant rewrite of the tax code in over 30 years into law in December. The bill cuts the corporate tax rate to 21 percent, down from 35 percent.
American businesses responded almost immediately in what appeared to be a synchronized series of announcements about reinvesting in their employees and the nation.

WASHINGTON - The head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement wants the Justice Department to prosecute mayors and other political leaders in so-called "sanctuary cities" that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
"We need to hold these politicians accountable for their actions," Thomas Homan told Fox News. "This isn't the America I grew up in. We got to take these sanctuary cities on. We got to take them to court. And we got to start charging some of these politicians with crimes."
