The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

The MAGA movement personified in a single headline. ✔️

Um.. no name has been “stripped” from a carrier you deranged Hungarian lunatic.
Millers name was in the plans for a new vessel not even built yet.

“Navy may reconsider naming future carrier after black war hero.”
That would resemble a heading written by a rational journalist not afflicted with TDS.

Ultimately, both the Biden and Trump administrations have added historic, multi-trillion-dollar sums to the deficit. The reality is that Congress passes the budget bills and modern debt is a deeply bipartisan issue. I just wanted to make sure you Trump supporters acknowledge his significant role in all of this mess. If you're going to call out Obama and Biden for the rising national debt under their presidencies, be consistent and do the exact same for Trump and a Republican-controlled Congress.
Why do we (collectively) blame the President for the National debt when it's Congress who sets the budget? Sure, the President gets to direct the funding but we should be pointing to Congress for allowing such debt to incur.

Tibs doesn't understand what Communism means, even though he is a commie. Hilarious..

you're deranged. do explain how you got to this conclusion.

How is that communism in any way shape or form?

Here you go, comrades.

Trump's policy could be compared to communism - or a heavily state-managed "command economy" - through its use of centralized state intervention to dictate market pricing and control supply, rather than letting free-market capitalism determine them naturally.

Here is a detailed breakdown:

1. State-Mandated Pricing (Price Setting)

The Policy: The announcement states that the government has secured a "commitment that this beef will be sold at 25 percent below current market prices".

The Parallel: In a pure capitalist system, prices are determined entirely by supply and demand. By contrast, a hallmark of communist or command economies is administrative price-fixing, where the state decides what a good should cost to protect the consumer, rather than letting the competitive market find its own equilibrium.

2. State-Controlled Supply and Quotas

The Policy: The state is explicitly managing the volume of the economy by injecting exactly "up to 300,000 metric tons" of a specific product into the domestic market over a strict "90 days" time frame.

The Parallel: Centralized economic planning relies heavily on government-enforced production and import quotas. Rather than private businesses importing goods based on their independent profit calculations, the centralized authority orchestrates the volume and timing of the supply to achieve a political or social outcome.

3. Favoring State Selection Over Market Competition

The Policy: By waiving "out-of-quota tariffs" specifically for an engineered deal, the government uses its power to artificially lower the cost of foreign goods.

The Parallel: Domestic industry representatives, such as the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, argued that flooding the market with government-managed, below-market beef disrupts natural trade dynamics. When the state tips the scales to favor certain products or dictate how a sector recovers, it mirrors the "heavy hand" of state-directed industrial planning found in socialist or state-capitalist systems.

Millers name was in the plans for a new vessel not even built yet.

Ok, let's take this nice and slow, Stewey. Somebody, somewhere high enough in the US Navy decided under Trump's first term to name the carrier after Doris Miller. The ship was officially assigned his name.

In January 2020, during Donald Trump’s first presidential term, the Navy announced that the Gerald R. Ford-class nuclear aircraft carrier CVN-81 would be named the USS Doris Miller. It was set to make history as the first aircraft carrier ever named after an enlisted sailor and a Black American.

And now, somebody, somewhere, somehow decided to stop and change this, and are considering renaming the vessel after Donald Trump instead.

What is it in this scenario that is so difficult or complicated for you to understand?

that's a stretch of the definition, at best.
he states that this is for 90 days and is on IMPORTED beef.

clearly, you barely understand what you read, but what you read is also tinted and tainted by your TDS.

Eleven carriers in history have been named after presidents. Trump must be upset that he’s not one of them.
The irony is, the ship was named during Trump’s first term.

You do realize that as of today this flattop isn't projected to be launched for another 8 years, right? 8 years likely means 10-12, and this is what is twisting your panties? Why not just start all of your post off with I hate Trump? I doubt that he lives to see the christening even if the name is changed. BTW, has the name been changed?

Navy considers, Navy weighs, Navy might, lions and tigers and bears.

Look at what he's done to the White House, looks like f*cking Saddam Hussein's golden palace in Baghdad or Putin's gaudy Kremlin in Moscow. Puts his name on the Kennedy Center, hangs giant banners with his stupid face on the DOJ building. I guess pulling strings while in office to get his name on an aircraft carrier is just much of the same. No biggie.

That's a very serious stretch, to the point of breaking.

Uh yes I realize that genius.
I should have been the one to have gone nice and slow.

See Zona’s post. Hopefully he didn’t go too fast for you as well.

Trump has made mistakes no doubt.

But certainly glad he is in office vrs anyone else. Hopefully Vance or Rubio take it in 2028

So, he lives in your head 24/7? DC hasn't looked this good in decades, the ballroom addition should have be done 60 years ago, tents on the lawn is the definition of tacky. So what if he likes gold, the next administration always redecorates. The Board of Directors of the Kennedy Center overwhelming approved to add his name in gratitude for refurbishing the building.

He's bigger than life, arrogant, for sure, an egotist, you bet, but no more so that some past Presidents that you likely idolize. I don't agree with every action he has taken, but I'm probably at the 80% level. He does what he says he will do, and that makes this country better as a result.

Lower beef prices?!!!

Biden administration impacted the U.S. cattle industry primarily through antitrust scrutiny on major meatpackers, new regulatory reforms under the Packers and Stockyards Act, and strict environmental/watershed rules that drew sharp criticism and legal pushback from rancher associations.

Dems love to regulate and control people, Trump is simply putting the people back in charge.
