The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

If you did some research this was the spray / roll on truck liner. I would like to see you tear that out of a truck with your hands. Trump himself said the liner was in destructible and couldn't even be cut with a knife. If the stuff was adhered properly there is 0 chance of removing that by reaching into the water for 5 seconds

Have you ever applied or owned truck liner? I've applied it, and had it in two trucks. It can in fact be ripped/torn by hand.

You know one of the reasons you can buy it online/in stores? Yes, to initially apply it to say a truck bed. But also to re-line a truck bed where the liner got....<drum roll> destroyed.

Perhaps he shouldn't have called it indestructible, but we all know he's prone to the grandiose in his descriptions.

I stated this earlier that my gpap had one that was sprayed on at a shop. Sure it for scratched and what not by you are not going to grab a piece and peel off 2 foot sections if it is installed properly and it's not garbage.

Also I don't know that truck bed liner is designed to be constantly underwater.
I was never a fan of the stuff, my Ranger came with the factory drop-in plastic liner and the trucks I've had previously I always got a rubber bed mat.

You're asking for it.

So now you're an expert in pool liners in addition to being an M.D.? Fascinating.

And yes, one can tear a pool liner with bare hands.

"pool liners are commonly between 20 and 30 mils thick (0.020–0.030 inches). That's much thicker and tougher than a trash bag, but much thinner than many rubber products."

Dude was a 3x Olympic athlete. Not a challenge.
😂 That says it’s much thicker and tougher than a trash bag and your take is “it can quickly and easily be vandalized using bare hands.

Dear leader described the liner as indestructible.

Dear leader said someone cut a 250 foot slit in it.

Dear leader said a former Olympian randomly decided to vandalize it with his bare hands while on a bike ride.

You believe all of it, question none of it. You’re in a cult.

Just my opinion, but why did these people even feel the need to put their hands in the water, on the pump hoses and pull on the lining?

Granted, it may have come loose in spots because of a faulty application, but what would possess someone to pull on it other than vandalism?

If you had any amount of logic you would realize that with millions of pools around the world being used by billions of people, that liners being quickly and easily damaged using nothing more than bare hands would be a well known problem. It’s not.

We’re charging people with felonies to help a petulant sociopath with his embarrassment.

I'm not sure comparing a sprayed in bed liner to whatever they used in the reflecting pool is a good comparison. What I have is rock hard, it will scratch, but even the Phoenix sun doesn't soften it.
Does anyone here know what was used in the pool, what prep work was or wasn't done? It was likely a rushed job, and it will get corrected, the entire story is nothing more than that.

Wow, your granddad had a liner. You remember this from when you were 7? I've applied and removed truck bed liner. I have hands on experience with it.

You're entitled to be wrong. You're obligated to pay your outstanding debts as well.

And there are eyewitnesses who saw this man vandalize it. The evidence was presented to a grand jury. Based upon the evidence, your violent Liberal Olympian hero is facing charges.

I'll stick with the evidence and the Grand Jury opinion, not your communist bias.

Links proving pools aren't regularly damaged? Because you're wrong.

Pool liners in pools around the world are damaged often. That's why there are pool repair companies, ya dolt. Just Google one near you. Good Lord TDSFlogg.

TDS. Period.

Uh-huh. Who are the eyewitnesses and who are their superiors?

I'm not a pool expert but I'm thinking that because 1) the Reflecting Pool is shallow, 2) because it's shallow it gets warm, 3) it's filled with river water, and 4) it's full of duck poop, it's going to grow algae no matter what. The only way to fix it is with a massive filtration system and lots and lots of chlorine.

I don't know yet. Nor do I care. If evidence was presented to a Grand Jury and they decided to pursue charges, the evidence must be good.

You gonna ring them up after you finish calling every doctor in the country about Covid? Hope you have an unlimited data plan.

Yes, and it was likely not installed properly. I don’t doubt it was rushed, or that the parameters you described contributed. I’d also look at the peroxide poured in to treat the algae and how that may have also impacted it.

Regardless, it doesn’t excuse anyone - political affiliation aside - from pulling any pieces out of the reflecting pool. But, common sense ain’t so common anymore and it’s been deemed raysiss.
