Really impressed by the number of American Olympic athletes in Milan, who are going on record stating that they're proud to represent their country, but stand opposed to what is happening stateside politically. God bless these patriots for taking a courageous stand and speaking their minds.
It was also telling to see the warm, enthusiastic reception the US athletes received when they entered the stadium, which quickly turned to boisterous boos and jeers when JD Vance was shown on the big screen.
Trump and this administration have done so much in destroying America's standing in the world. I can safely say no US presidency has been this loathed around the world. Even our staunchest allies in Europe have lost faith in this duplicitous government. Trump insulting our NATO allies was the last drop in the bucket, though Trump consistently both-siding the Russian invasion of Ukraine is probably the biggest culprit, as well as unleashing his private ICE militia back home.
It will take years to fix things domestically, and internationally, but I pray that day will come, when America is again viewed as the shining city on the hill.
And yeah, I know some of you don't give a rat's a*s about any of this. You've long dismissed our historical alliances around the globe, those who fought shoulder to shoulder with Americans.

It depends on whether Bad Bunny entertains or lectures. I never heard of him before it was announced that he would do the show, but apparently, he's a big deal in some circles.
I rarely watch the halftime show anyway and may skip the SB entirely as I just don't care all that much anymore.
If he makes a total asss out of himself, I'll read about it here and keep thinking that entertainers whether athletes, singers or actors should do just that, entertain everyone, because they have no business thinking that their opinion is more valid than anyone else.

They shouldn’t be commenting at all. You are there as an athlete representing your country, good, bad or indifferent. There’s a lot of things that I don’t like about America, but I never went around running my mouth about it any time I’ve been overseas. You just don’t do it, because it will be used as propaganda especially now, even at home. Be a tool for that if you want to, but you’re only making yourself look bad.

I doubt I’ll watch much of the game including the halftime show. The Steelers aren’t in it and I get up for the gym at 4. Not going to lose sleep over something that doesn’t matter much.
