That's not true at all. According to you folks, he sure loves the **** out of Russia and China doesn't he? Just totally loves them!
Yes, you're right. I stand corrected.

China signaled that it now sees itself as the world’s other superpower, positioning itself as the alternative, if not rival, to the United States.
DANANG, Vietnam — President Trump has issued two starkly contradictory calls on his trip to Asia this past week: The nations of the world must rally behind the United States to confront the nuclear threat from North Korea, but they should expect America to go its own way on trade.
Reconciling those messages will be hard, and it may determine the near-term fate of the United States as a Pacific power.
But the contradictions also reflect a more fundamental disarray in the presidency’s policy toward Asia. It seems caught between the geopolitical realism of Mr. Trump’s diplomats and the economic nationalism of his political aides.
These competing impulses have left allies and adversaries alike confused about America’s motives and staying power. Over time, several experts said, the balancing act will be impossible to maintain.
With the smaller nations of Southeast Asia, Mr. Trump may feel less pressure to compromise. His comments in Vietnam lacked the solicitous tone he had used in China and Japan, veering into the defiant populism he used on the campaign trail. Yet his go-it-alone message could drive these countries further into the orbit of China, which has moved at this meeting of Pacific leaders to fill the vacuum left by the United States.
“The region is looking for a robust American presence, not just on security but on trade,” said John Delury, an associate professor of Chinese studies at Yonsei University in Seoul, the South Korean capital. “For Trump to come with an ‘America First’ agenda leaves Asian leaders in the lurch.”
“They’re always looking for hedges against local bullies, like China,” he added, “and the U.S. is much less of a hedge.”
No, we view Trump as a flag waving, firework shooting, confetti flying, red, white and blue, "Murica-first", bigot who doesn't care about anyone else besides himself.
This should come as a shock to absolutely no one.

Beef has gotten kind of expensive, if you open China to beef purchases, you'll help the cattle rancher, but prices for
consumers will go higher.

President Trump Meets With Vietnam Vets in Danang to Mark Veterans Day
U.S. President Donald Trump marked his first Veterans Day in office by meeting with several veterans in Danang, where the first U.S. conventional troops landed during the Vietnam War more than 50 years ago.
"One of my great honors is to represent the people standing right behind me -- great, great warriors and veterans of the Vietnam War," Trump said in the meeting at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa.
"To each of you with me today, you are the heroes who fulfilled your duty to our nation. And each of you, under the most difficult conditions, did what you had to do, and you did it well," the president said. He was attending an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference in Danang following stops on his Asian tour in Japan, South Korea and China.

Our veterans are a national treasure and I thank them all for their service, sacrifice and patriotism," Trump said. He continued, "They're brave, they're strong, they're great patriots and we just want to thank you and all of the thousands and thousands and all of the people that served with you and in all of the other wars."
Trump shook hands and shared hugs with the veterans who also thanked him for supporting the military.

Perhaps, but it has accelerated under Trump. Those with their noses too far up his a-hole simply don't realize it.Our future as a global power was endangered when Obama started bowing to foreign leaders and leading from behind on foreign policy. That decline didn't start with Donald Trump.

There is no perhaps. SEE: North Korea. Iran. Russia. Saudi Arabia. We were being laughed at long before Trump. I know you hate they guy. I damn sure ain't fond of him. But America's decline in the eyes of the world is hardly his doing alone.
Sarge...he's not paid to capitulate, he's paid to denigrate.
I think you need to direct your rage against the Economist and ask yourself the question, why such a reputable publication would put out a cover story like that. In fact, you may want to go read that article and learn something. Nah, never mind, get back to your crayons and coloring book.
Sorry Tibs long time subscriber and since the ownership change the Economist is just another Liberal rag the same as the MSM they have lost all objectivity in the last 8 years. It is a shame too they used be a very non partisan thoughtful source sadly that is no longer the case.
Yes, anyone that dares criticize Lord Trump is a Soros-funded, left-wing, subversive menace. All dissention should be ignored and dismissed, opposing viewpoints ridiculed and shunned aside. Pretty much how the Third Reich rose to power, the blueprint is certainly out there.
