You get an F- in civics. Without a 60-vote majority in the Senate a Party doesn't truly control anything. Despite threats by Schumer to do away with the filibuster rule he was just smart enough to not walk that plank. Imagine how Democrats would be screaming right now if they had and then lost both houses, the Presidency and the Court. Republicans are at least smart enough to know to not mess with it no matter how tempting it may be as it would remove an important roadblock to irrational lawmaking. It is bad enough now on the part of both sides.

The entire world is benefitting from DOGE.
US taxpayers have less money now wasted/defrauded.
US national debt is lower, USD is stronger.
People in foreign countries do not have to accept the bs tenets of USAID into their moral/cultural norms.

The only lovers are the kleptocrats who siphoned money from US taxpayers and aided friends/family who were fraudulently/unjustly enriched.

At every turn you hate doing the right things for the people. That is a very horrible way to go thru life....

As far as benefitting me? A president once said, “ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can, uh…..you know, the thing.

We’ve had presidents in their campaign speeches blather about wasteful government spending, yet the only one actually to do something is Trump.
DOGE is a never before tried undertaking.
Did Trump promise that there would be no mistakes made?

I learned when I owned two franchises of a national company that there is never a recession in Northern Virginia.
No matter how bad things are in the rest of the country, business is always great in D.C.

Nothing in life is 100% guaranteed, other than that death and taxes stuff. Even Trump admitted that in the ABC interview where whatever that guy's name was tried to trap him into an absolute. The left wants 100% guarantees, no risk, swaddled in the Federal government's arms. Our economic system does not work that way and hopefully never does, or it will be the end of life as this county knows it. If we don't take chances, we'll never reap the benefits. Anyone that believes this should be done in 30 days is delusional. These are the same people watching the Dow Jones on a minute-by-minute basis.

I have a slightly different take, but not by much, only to add that no one takes joy in losing a job, but it is a reality in the world outside of government.
The sooner all governments, local, state and federal are run as a business, the better off the country will be.
