By: Jordan Defigio SteelerNation.com There’s hometown pride. Then there’s Pittsburgh pride. And anyone from the Steel City knows that the love of our town runs deeper, stronger, different. James Conner*– who played high school football here, played college football at Pitt, and went on to play for his hometown team of the*Pittsburgh Steelers*– knows how […]

Obviously we all want the entire team to remain healthy in 2020, including JC.

I hope he has a monster year, and it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't try to break the bank with the Steelers.

No way of knowing, but he seems like the kind of guy where money isn't everything.

he can likely be had for on the cheap. I'd not low ball him, but if it came down to keeping him or Juju ... and it very well may ...

That is not entirely correct. Connors hometown is Erie Pa. Played ball there at McDowell High.

You came here to criticize the story because his address growing up wasn't Pittsburgh? Sure he wasn't from Pittsburgh, he's from Erie, but he went to Pitt, did his cancer treatment in Pittsburgh and probably spent many days in Pittsburgh growing up.

Thankfully he's not a Bills fan then...

Better he was a Bills fan than a Browns fan. And there are Stain fans in Erie. Erie is exactly midway between Buff and Cle.

Uh no, I came here to read the story idiot. Homerism has it's boundaries too and you've crossed it with that gem.

Suppose my hometown was Erie and wanted to clarify. Still a no no? Would I be the bigger homer or would you?

I'm with you on this one. RB is the quickest transitioning position from college to NFL and I's say he (James) is expendable when the price tag might easily be JuJu. I like James Conner but not at that cost.

Salute the nation

I didn't write the story, 'idiot' so I didn't cross any boundaries. He was born in Georgie so I guess his hometown is actually Georgia.
