Murray 1 pick overall 23.5M signing bonus.
Hodges undrafted $1K signing bonus. And Hodges wins.
That’s good business. More weapons on their way.
Hopefully he improves a little each week. I like the way he makes the first defender miss when they infiltrate the pocket.

I also heard Dalvin Cook has the same injury as Conner and he is continuing to play. Will Steelers get 19 and 30 back next week?

Would prefer JUJU and keep Conner on the sideline one more week. Current RBs are performing well and I love the rotation and what each brings.

Agree, Duck gets a little better every week. More confident than Rudolph, quicker release, and doesn't get happy feet in the pocket.

I’m pleased with Duck for the season.
Will the Steelers address the QB situation in the offseason though?

Is Rudolph/Hodges the guy to carry on.
Ben is not getting younger, it really is time to consider preparing for life without Ben.
I want the guy to deliver us #7. #7 for 7 and retire. But can he stay healthy?

I thought Duck had a weak arm. Did you see that across the field TD pass to Diontae Johnson??? :applouse:

Yeah when he threw that, I was shocked. That's some serious arm strength and accuracy.

The play he made on the 3rd and 13 late in the 4th to extend the drive was a thing of beauty. Reminded me of Ben, just extend the play and let the WRs work themselves open. Really impressed with his composure and he keeps his eyes downfield when moving around.

That stadium would have went crazy.

Banner retweeted it telling Duck he was going to key his number into Duck's car when they get back and Duck responded by saying just imagine if I threw it and you dropped it..all the cheers when you report as eligible would become boos..

Devlin Hodges
@DevlinHodges10

Imagine if I threw it... and you dropped it.. the cheers from “#72 is reporting as an eligible receiver” would turn into boos and I just know you don’t want that :)

That's great. What a tight group of guys.

That's a top notch throw. The more reps he gets the better he looks. Really impressed with his composure. Our defense is playing on a championship level. The running game opens up the more those wideouts make plays.

Fantastic exchange between these guys! As Steelworth said, tight group of guys this year and it's clearly having a positive effect on the field.

Duck should have given Banner his shot at glory....

**** yea Coolie, I've said it many times........... if you run a tackle eligible that sometime you are going to have to pass to him and more than once as that will keep that 9 man box rush a little more honest.

Banner for Home Run King !!!!! eerrrrr I mean Touch Down

Salute the nation

In honesty Duck has better players around him. The Cardinals are horrible. They still have a 100 year old Suggs playing. Then they have a bunch of nobodies.

I wouldn't have drafted Murray anyway. He's small and will never be a great NFL QB.

He has an average arm... that’s been well documented by scouting reports and local media... his footwork is excellent, which increases accuracy and velocity... Ben has an exceptional arm... Rudolph’s arm is stronger than Duck’s, but Rudolph is far more likely to throw flat footed or with other bad mechanics... Savaran said his release is a little quicker than duck too... its hard to tell cause duck anticipates so well...

that also is why our idiotic coaching staff isn’t calling the quick outs and slants, they are petrified these guys are going to get routes jumped...
Thats stupid... ducks best game is the brady or brees type of quick hits... let him do it until it becomes an issue

Brees arm was very meh his first few years too... arm strength can improve....

Do you know who had arm strength in spades? laundry jones.... that guy couldn’t sniff the field for two years cause he was that far back in his game but the coaches kept him on just cause of his arm... in year four he was still a one read wonder though... both of these guys already blow him out of tge water

People ***** about these young QB’s only getting under 200 yards and not scoring much... thats all on the OC... it should be beyond evident now...

Yeah, which is why we see a bunch of no name scrub QBs going off on a weekly basis (not always sustainable, but we get the idea) while the Steelers are still treating their young QBs like it's 2001.

So far Ducks three starts have been against a borderline hall of famer in Rivers, last years top overall pick, and this years top overall pick... he is 3-0

His two relief stints have been against the MVP frontrunner LJ...and honestly had his second drive not ended with a suspect offensive pass interference penalty at midfield or a fumble in OT...he probably beats him too

And the 4th round rookie he beat vs Cincy

Pedigree doesn’t matter

I'm all happy that the Steelers are winning with Hodges.

But let's not get too giddy about 152 yards and 1 TD. Hardly H.O.F. performance just yet.

I prefer that he simply improve a bit each week and try not to do anything dumb. At some point the offense is GOING to have to show up. The defense can't play that type of game every week.

Yeah my fear is at some point the staff will start pressing hodges to go more vertical and he will make some mistakes and they will pull the carpet out from under him... i am not a fan of paxton lynch starting in the playoffs, and while I expect to see Rudolph back in at some point for some dumb reason... its too late in the season to be bouncing through QBs... when you decided to roll with duck, that was pretty much for the rest of the season...
musical chairs with young qbs rarely helps their progress...

They had better be working non stop with Rudolph to get his footwork a bit better cause he still is one play away, and his mindset too, and they dont need him coming in cold trying to absolve his last two games away by forcing things. If he had just kept playing how he did at first when everyone was bitching about him he would have been fine...
it wasn’t until everyone was putting pressure on him to force it down field that he collapsed... they better not try to do that with dick... its fine to be more aggressive than they are, but we don’t need the chunk plays... nickle and dime them until the wrs are more consistent playmakers...

I am happy with how duck played. He gives receivers chances to make plays and has decent wheels. He made throws when he had to. It seemed like the O was not on the field much. Ducks arm looks fine to me. i know Rudolph is supposed to have the stronger arm, but it doesn't pass the eye test. I think some of it is just standing there flat footed just very poor mechanics. i don't think we need a qb this draft unless someone amazing falls to round 2. Duck / Rudolph will be serviceable for a season until wr get the QB we want if they don't pan out

Just like with Rudolph, the training wheels are still on with Duck and probably will be for the remainder of the season. Heck, even when we had Ben in there, Tomlin always played "not to lose" rather than playing "to win". He always goes conservative way too early and it has cost us games. He says he doesn't live in his fears but he has proven that to be a lie. He lives in his fears during every game and we will get more of the same for the remainder of the year whether it is still Duck back there or if Rudolph somehow gets back on the field. Playing to win means you have the full intent of scoring every single time you have the ball until the game is out of hand. Tomlin just has never done that. Get a TD or maybe 2 TD lead and he goes into his conservative shell. I hate it but that's what he does every damn time. I fully expect it to cost us a game before the end of the season.

He’s a rookie QB. We didn’t do anything different when Ben was a rookie and went 14-1. It wasn’t because he was exactly lighting up the airways.
